Good Bye

"Hey, Jack... Sorry it took so long for me to come visit. What with everything going on and the work Special Agent Welker's been giving us, a lot's been happening. How have you been doing? A lot's been happening on our end. Almost everyone on Earth is beginning to accept the existence of Cybertronians. It took a while, but we're slowly winning them over. Wish you were here to see it... "

"Cliff and Vivian just had another kid. Grace is ecstatic to be a grandma again. You'd like Darcy. She's got your eyes... Zane hasn't been doing well, but the medics are doing all they can. It seems just like yesterday when they were kids... All small, running around the base. They both miss you very much. Everyone does."

"It's soon to be seventy-five years since the War of Cybertron's been over. Lets keep it that way. Our home knew... too much of war for so many eons. Especially for your kind, it's a long, long time..."

Arcee placed a wreath of flowers onto the plaque.

Getting off her knees, the sunset shone on to the memorial.

"If the Well of Allsparks and 'heaven' meet, tell Cliff and Optimus I said hi. Give my regards to Miko and Raf, and tell them Bulkhead and Bee are always thinking about them."

She gave a salute, gazing into the horizon as the sun was about to depart for the evening. No matter how many years pass, she could still hear the mumbled laughter of a teenager. A thousand years could come and she'd still remember the smirk in his smile.

Before Jack, she was a machine of war. Full of blood, anger and revenge. After what happened to Tailgate and Cliffjumper, she didn't know if she could go on fighting. If she hadn't met Jack... she'd still be the empty shell she was years ago. He brought down all her walls.

All her partners left her. Jack was gone as well, though even though his sort lifespan got the better of him... he never left her side. He never gave up on her. That was worth more than all the valor awards put together on Cybertron.

Looking down at the memorial, a smile was on her face.

"So long, partner... Thanks for the ride. I'll try and come by next week. Don't make me hunt you down..."
