Title: Coffee, Baristas and Notes Scribbled in Sharpie

Author: dyingwill

Pairing: 6927/MukuroxTsuna

Notes: This is an AU, and yes, Mukuro is a barista in this one. All of them are a little OOC (except maybe Gokudera), but I hope you'll overlook that nevertheless.

"What is that?"

Tsuna blinked in surprise, setting down Gokudera's coffee cup in front of him as he took a seat. "What's what?"

The other male pointed blatantly at the beverage in Tsuna's hand, brows twitching for some reason.

"My coffee?" Tsuna spared it a small glance, failing to see what Gokudera was going on about. He must be acting all OCD again, like he always was when it came to Tsuna. "Gokudera-kun, you know I'm old enough to drink caffeinated–"

"N-No!" the taller male choked, a quivering finger jabbed at the cup as if it had personally offended him. "There's—the barista wrote something on it!"

"What?" Tsuna asked, though his tone was a little flat. "Gokudera-kun–"

"There, it's right there!" And Gokudera leaned in and picked up the cup, pointing out the small note scribbled on the surface. The handwriting was inexplicably elegant for something written hastily in Sharpie. 'I hope you like your coffee. Also, did you know the way you stutter is really adorable?' Followed by a series of digits.

Well, thought Tsuna, he certainly hadn't noticed that when he'd gone to get their order.

Sometime in the chaos that followed, he vaguely noted Gokudera's own cup remaining strangely unmarked.

"I-I—wh-what–!" Tsuna's face had begun to turn a vibrant shade of red as he spluttered out something too unintelligible to make out, so caught up in flailing around in complete embarrassment to see his short-fused friend getting to his feet and making his way toward the counter. By the time Tsuna had snapped out of it, Gokudera was shouting out heated accusations and oh god, they were going to get kicked out of the cafe by the time this was over. It was such as shame because Tsuna really liked the coffee here, too.

"—so stay away from the Juudaime, you pineapple-haired freak!"

"Oya? And just who are you to tell me what to do?"

Yeah, that was definitely a migraine coming on.

"G-Gokudera-kun!" Tsuna screeched, tugging at his arm. "You're making a scene! H-He probably didn't mean anything by it anyway, really, let's just go—"

"Kufufu." The brunette gaped blatantly as the tall, not to mention incredibly handsome barista situated behind the counter ever so politely cut him off. "Are you so sure about that? What if I did mean something by it, hmm?" His tone was coy and flirtatious and Tsuna wanted to bury himself in a hole.

Gokudera's outrage fired right back up at this and Tsuna had to all but drag him out of the cafe. What unnerved him most, though, was how he'd caught the barista's eye on the way out. The male had waved, eyes twinkling in ill-disguised humor. 'Call me,' was what he'd mouthed wordlessly, before Tsuna stormed out of the place, absolutely refusing to ever visit that cafe again, even if their coffee happened to be the best he'd ever had.
