Authors note: Just a cute, little, Taang oneshot about Aang's vision in the swamp. I hope you all enjoy. This is set in the time just after the episode "The Blind Bandit".
But Sweet
"So, you're positive your father said it was okay to come with us?"
"Yes, I'm positive."
Aang smiled for the third time that day as the same question was asked yet again. He still couldn't believe that he had an earthbending teacher. Finally, he could continue his quest as the Avatar.
"Hey Toph, have you seen Sokka and Katara? They said they would help me set tent."
"How should I know where they are? I just got here."
"I guess your right."
Aang airbended on to Appa and decided to wait for his friends to return before starting the work needed to get done. In the meanwhile, he had a new member in the Gaang that he was dying to ask questions to.
"So, how many tournaments did you win? I mean as the Blind Bandit."
"Four. I started my rein in Earth Rumble when it was two years old. Now I'm a legend."
Toph suddenly raised her hand, making a rock chair from the ground. She sat down slowly and then pressed on the conversation.
"I was eight when I first entered the competition. I won the whole thing my first try around. I should be working on my fifth title but as you can see I have to train you."
Aang shrugged with a grin, "Sorry about that."
"Yeah…right."
"No really, sorry, but training might be fun."
"Oh really?" Toph said sarcastically.
"I think…I never really taught before. Well, there was that one time Katara tried to teach me waterbending and I ended up teaching her. That didn't work out. And then there was that other time I tried to teach her at night in the Northern Water Tribe…that didn't work out either. And then that time where-"
"Ok, ok, ok. I'm going to have a horrible time teaching you earthbending, I get it."
"No, that's not what I mean. What I was trying to say was…wait…what was I trying to say?"
Toph shook her head while sighing heavily. So far, her student seemed like a complete idiot…great.
"Look, how about you just keep quiet until we start training, okay?" she suggested.
"Alright, but I want you to know that you're really meant to be here."
"No I'm not. I'm just the best earthbender you could find in a few minutes worth."
"Well that is true but that's not true. Toph, I had vision in the swamp, Katara and Sokka did too. But the difference between ours was that the visions they saw were of people they already knew. I didn't know you."
"Wait a second; you had a vision, of me?"
Aang nodded, "I did. The people of the swamp, well at least one, told me that when you're in this specific swamp you see visions of people that you knew…that you once loved."
Toph jumped off her earthbended rock and dropped her mouth in awe.
"That is stupid!"
"It's not stupid; that's really what he said."
"Well let me tell you, I'm only a person that you know…not that-that thing you said before."
"Come on Toph, I meant that in the friend way."
"I've only known you for three days. We're not even friends yet, twinkletoes."
"Well I hope we can be…I really hope we can be."
Toph rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms, "Whatever…"
"Aang, Toph!" called Sokka from afar, "We're back!"
"And we brought food," added Katara.
"Hey guys, we are over here" Aang called back, "Oh and Toph?"
"What?"
"I can't wait for earthbending lessons, really. You're going to be a great teacher."
"You're crazy," mumbled Toph, "But sweet…"
No one heard her last remark as the four rejoined each other in the crisp night air.

Authors note: I liked it and I might do more later in time but let me tell you now. I am a true Kataanger, just to keep in mind. And this is not to be mean. I actually liked to write the Taang oneshots more than the Kataang oneshots. I'm just telling you my favorite pairing.
