Note: Librarian!AU

Dominique moved around frantically in the house, mentally counting off the things in her head that she needed to take with her for the day. Her book was tucked under her arm while she held a cup of coffee with that arm.

She was thankful that she'd put her hair in a bun before she set to grab everything. Her hair being in her face while she looked around would have been annoying.

Dominique had her book, coffee, bag, and her phone. There was something she was missing; she just knew it.

"Looking for this?"

Dominique turned around to see Lysander leaning against the doorway with a smirk on his face. In his hand was a paper, 'Return List' in bold lettering.

She released the breath she was holding and walked over to Lysander. "I can't believe I was going to leave that," she said. "Where did you find it?"

Lysander handed her the paper and kissed her cheek. "The kitchen counter, love. Probably left it after you fixed your cup of coffee."

She shook her head; she was losing her mind more and more these days with this new upgrade in the library.

"Thank you," Dominique said with a smile.

"I think I should get a more proper thank you than that," Lysander replied with a chuckle.

He pulled her closer to kiss her lips, slowly attempting to deepen it. As much as Dominique would enjoy staying in this moment with her boyfriend, she had to get to the library on time and open up.

"I have to get to the library," Dominique said softly against Lysander's lips as she pulled away.

Lysander released a groan-like whine. Dominique challenged it with a stern expression, and she won because he sighed and kissed her cheek.

"Get to work, bookworm," Lysander pouted as Dominique blew a kiss to him and left their shared home to get to the library on time. She had no time to lose!

She didn't realize that she going to forget something again.

When the head librarian was away, Dominique ducked under the desk, looking in her bag frantically for her phone. She didn't even realize she'd left it or even put it down when she said goodbye to Lysander.

She cursed his lips and distracting nature.

"Looking for this?"

Dominique slowly rose from under the desk, meeting her boyfriend's eyes. She glared while he smirked when she saw the phone in his hand.

She had to work on this 'forgetting things' thing.
