Warriors-The New Fire

"The old fire will ignite a new fire, that will blaze in an eternal honor, that will light away the darkness," Firestar and Sandstorm have a son during a time in omen of the stars. They name him Blazekit, and as time passes Firestar learns of the prophecy...and how it contributes to his son. Loyalty will be tested, honor achieved, and the time has come for the new fire.

Prologue

A blue she-cat looked down at a young tom. His flame colored pelt shined bright in the new-leaf sun. New-Leaf had just begun, and so far, she was happy to see what he had accomplished. Then a dark tortoiseshell she cat approached her.

"Hello Bluestar," she greeted.

"Hello Spottedleaf," mewed Bluestar. Spottedleaf smiled and looked at the tom.

"How is Firestar?" she asked. Bluestar smiled.

"He's fine. Leading the clan well. I always knew he would be a good leader. As you said, fire alone can save our clan," said Bluestar. Spottedleaf's eyes darkened.

"Yes…fire," she murmured.

"What is it?" asked Bluestar.

"There is a new prophecy, a new fire," Spottedleaf mewed. Bluestar widened her eyes.

"What is this 'new fire?'" she asked.

"The old fire will ignite a new fire, that will blaze in an eternal honor, that will light away the darkness," Spottedleaf mewed. Bluestar looked at Firestar.

"But Firestar already had kits! Two daughters. Squirrelflight and Leafpool," mewed Bluestar. Spottedleaf shook her head again.

"But…remember the life I gave Firestar? Love?" asked Spottedleaf. Bluestar nodded.

"Well, the love is still there, and in Firestar's love life I see…" Spottedleaf mewed, gaze looking distant. Bluestar tried to see, but couldn't. Her eyes couldn't see in the gift another had given.

"I see a small bundle of fur in Thunderclan's nursery. A tom. Nuzzled up against a she-cat. Another tom looking over at him. Yes, my vision clears. The she-cat is Sandstorm, and the tom is Firestar. I see a blazing light on this little kit," mewed Spottedleaf. Bluestorm widened her eyes.

"So, Firestar is to have a son?" she asked. Spottedleaf nodded.

"Firestar's son, is the new fire," she mewed.
