My Little Red Angel

An old poem found at the bottom of my writing pile. I thought it was pretty good, so I typed it out and fixed it up. Please READ & REVIEW it for me. I'd like to see if I still have a knack for poetry so tell me what you think of this one. Thanks!

My Little Red Angel

You flew like a comet, with a tail or red

And filled brave hearts with a sign of dread.

You were once human, but nevermore.

But not quite demon; to settle that score…

You flew alone in the night,

With wings of red, you took to flight.

What was the song you always sing?

Now that you fly on broken wings.

Red angel

Red angel

War comes before your eyes.

So when will you awaken,

And take to the skies?

Please see that you're not alone.

I've followed you to wherever you've gone.

So lift up your head, and look to the light.

You are something special within my sight.

And though you would always ask me why…

It's because I love you, my little Sky.

My friend. My ally. My love.

My little red angel…
