Tudgeman stared at the computer screen, sighing to himself, not sure what he was doing. He knew what he wanted to be doing, knew what he would be doing if he had the guts to attempt it… but knowing wasn't as easy as actually doing.
In fact, it seemed impossible.
He had her messenger address and could see that she was online. He'd thought about this moment, planned a response for everything that she could say when he asked her.
Even if she turned him down.
Even if she laughed at him.
Even if she broadcast his emotions to the rest of the school so that they could laugh at him.
Even if she broke his heart.
He sighed again, turning off the computer. It almost felt like physical pain that he wasn't going to admit to Miranda how he felt, but he just had to remind himself, if he never told her, she couldn't break his heart.
