Small oneshot. Wrote it 'cause I was bored, and I thought this would be a nice little thing. I think I'll write more oneshots, but I dunno.

"Potter, get out of the way, and give me back my book," Lily shouted at James, who saw her sitting in the Gryffindor common room, her face scrunched up in annoyance as she tried to understand what her spell book was saying.

"Have some fun, and get out of your books," James told her, snatching her book from the ground.

"Give it back! I'm trying to study," Lily complained, "Stop annoying me," she added decidedly.

"I'm annoying you?" James said innocently, touching his chin with his hand in mock thinking.

Lily rolled her eyes, "I swear Potter-"

"You shouldn't swear," James cut in with a mock know-it-all attitude as he grinned at her.

"-If you don't give it back, I'm going to hex you or something," Lily continued, ignoring his interruption.

"Hmm, let's see, give it back or get hexed?" James said slowly, inwardly smirking when he saw Lily's face go red in anger.

"That's it," she muttered, lifting her wand and muttering some words which threw a net in James way, capturing his legs and making the tall boy trip onto the floor.

"Playing dirty, I see," James said, grinning at her, "I can play dirty," he added, whipping his wand out in a matter of seconds, and opening his mouth to say a spell when Lily walked up to him and snatched the book back from his hands.

Grinning, James lifted his arm and moved it swiftly to her feet, making Lily squeal as she was swept off the floor and fell with a thud beside James.

"You little…" she groaned, glaring at him sideways.

"I'll see you later, Beautiful," James smirked at her, getting up and walking towards the exit of the Gryffindor common room.

Lily's eyes widened, and she pushed herself up with her arms, staring directly at James, 'What did he say? Is he…flirting?' she thought frantically, knowing that James had never said anything like that before. Not to her, anyway.

"Cat got your tongue?" James winked, grinning to himself as he left the common room, clearly down with this little fight.
