I'm Sorry

Author: J.E.A.R.K.Potter (Erin)

Rating: K+

Disclaimer: I'm not J.K. if I was I would have put more Lily and James in six and also put Harry and Hermione together because Ron, I think, is a jerk, and Ginny is a Mary-Sue.

A/N: Just be warned, Harry and Hermione are not a major pairing of mine, I just fell in love with it after I realized there was no chance they could get together. This story is not very good because I wrote it in about five minutes. STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW: I accidentally thought Harry and Ginny were still going out at the end of the book, oh, and this takes place in the middle of the year, and yes, I have them still at Hogwarts.

"Harry, we have to tell them what happen! They will understand." Hermione moaned as she cried into the junction of his neck and shoulder.

"Yeah, I can just imagine it, 'Hey, Ron, sorry mate, but I sort of snogged your girlfriend, and cheated on your little sister.' Yeah, then he will either personally kill me or drop in front of some Death Eaters, or better yet Voldemort himself." Harry picked up her head off his shoulder to look into her red-blotched eyes. "It's not that big a deal, they never have to know."

"Yes, Harry, but, please, let me at least tell Ron I did something horrible, or maybe Ginny, they will never have to what exactly happen, but... just to clean our conscious..."Hermione started, but then Harry cut in.

"And risk all we have with them! Please, you know we can't do that, Ginny will never love me again!" Harry's head drooped and he sighed. "I don't know why I kissed you, I don't have feelings for you, I don't!"

"Harry, I think I may have some for you," Hermione muttered so low that Crookshanks, who was next to her on the windowsill, ears did not perk up when he heard his owner's sobs.

"What? Hermione! But Ron and Ginny..." Harry stuttered.

"I know, but Harry, you and I have never fought and... And... I think that maybe Ron and I just fight too much to be together for long, and he… and… I," she stuttered," Our relationship seems to always be on the edge of a cliff because of it." Hermione turned away from him, but she could not break away from his clasping hands that had held hers since they had kissed.

Harry turned to stare at her back. He thought it over, 'Hermione,' he thought, 'you should have told me this before Ginny and I and you and Ron…' Under his breath he muttered, "Maybe I should have known you wouldn't always just be friends with Ron and I, maybe I felt something before for you. Maybe… I have feelings too that I never knew." And with that he gained his Gryffindor courage and spoke.

"Hermione, Ginny maybe be beautiful and funny and wonderful, but I think that you beat her in my heart. You were always there for me, no matter what, even when Ron wasn't. And Hermione, you are beautiful and intelligent and always ready to fight by my side, even if it against the rules, which you tell me a thousand times. You are wonderful too." Harry turned her around and picked up her chin and looked straight into her eyes. A smile broke through the tears and it was then he realized he was crying as well.

"So, I'm not funny?" Hermione laughed.

"Err... is there a correct answer to that question? Well, this will have to do, Hermione, I love you." Harry passionately said.

"Good enough." They leaned together and kissed for a second time.

After they broke apart they looked out the window that held Crookshanks. Through the window, down by the lake, sat two red heads. They were waiting for the boyfriend/girlfriend to arrive so they could go to Hogsmeade. "What do we tell them?"

"I'm sorry."

A/N: I know not the best; I think it had some plot holes, well I know it did, see the above note for some, but still…Read and Review!
