Foreseeing the Futre, Erasing the Past

He looked at the leaves falling from the trees and thought it was strangely poetic. It seems like leaves always fell. As he plodded back he heard words echo in his head; "Can you see into the future?" "Yes." He saw his and Zabuza's face play the scene out in his mind. The reason he said yes was not because he wanted to unnerve his opponent, or because he truly believed he could. It was because of this. The stone in front of him. His fingers traced the engravings, easily finding the name of the person that haunted his thoughts, more than usual. Unchia Obito. He saw his face, his huge goggles, the stupid grin, and the prideful eyes. In his memories he was whole, pure, untouched. In his nightmares it was different though. He saw the tears and the hurt he inflicted. He saw the light leaving his face. And the hollow bloody pool where an eye used to be. He shuddered. Different words echoed in his mind now: "Kakashi, I can become your eye, and from now on I will see the future." No matter how much he still grieved for his loss, his words soothed his tormented soul, he always did turn despair into hope. Because he still lived. In his crimson and ebony eye, his tears still welled, his memories still lingered. And as he shed a few of Obito's tears, he remembered what Zabuza said: "Can you see the future?" No he couldn't, but Obito could. Now if only he could erase the past.

I was browsing through Da and i saw this devination http://jakuu. Obito-Kakashi-40567999 (remove space) and instantly this came to mind. It's only short but I love Kakashi sooo much! And it's so tragic about Obito (although i am a firm believer in the ObiTobi/TobiObi theroy)

The thing at the beging about leaves is supposed to represent a shinobi from the leaf village falling in battle, seeing the leaves of the tree fall made Kakshi think of that. :D This is set just after the bridge builder mission. And I also think that as much as Kakashi misses and blames himself for Obito, he finds comfort in knowing that he has Obito's eye. Sorry if the quotes aren't perfect, I worte it from memory!
