A/N: Short story for a science constellation project. We had to make a constellation and a quick story/legend as to how it got into the sky.

Disclaimer: I don't know Undertale, the Annoying Dog does.

Ever since the barrier to the underground was destroyed, monsters once again coexisted with humans. It was a rough start when they were reintroduced back to the surface world with the humans still mistrusting and the monsters adjusting.

The human who had made it possible for the monsters to return had tried to keep the peace between the two races, acting as the pacifist that they were when settling disputes and controversies. Everyone attempted to live in harmony for the human's sake, for they were only a child.

While the two races were able to live alongside each other without much violence, the tension between them grew. Finally, it came to the point where a second war between monsters and humans was declared.

The child was horrified by the sight. They watched in fright as human after human and monster after monster were killed during the long battle. The young human had worked extremely hard to make sure both races could live together in peace, or as close to it as possible. They felt they had to do something before one group was forced to the underground once more.

When they attempted to end the war, they were struck through the chest with full force by a deadly blow. As they fell to the ground, everyone ceased fighting. They all turned to the still body of the child, no signs of life evident.

Staring at the dead young human, the humans and monsters realized the consequences of their actions. Both sides had lost a friend dear to all of them. No one knew who had performed that fatal attack, and no one would ever find out. It did not matter anyway; they were all to blame.

After the child's death, a treaty between the two races was created to prevent any other tragedy from happening in the future. They all knew that this was what the child would have wanted, the newfound peace between the two sides, and the thought of fulfilling their wishes filled both humans and monsters with determination.

In honor of the young human, for their deeds, their kindness, and their sacrifice, their six closest friends, all of whom were monsters, gathered around the dead child and performed a great spell. Everyone from both sides watched in awe as the magic was cast, lifting the body high into the heavens. Higher and higher it rose, then it transformed into a cluster of stars.

They say that every night when the sun disappears over the horizon, the human child looks down on the Earth, smiling at the two races that had at last found peace between them.
