This has bugged me for so long. I need Fitz and Sophie to kiss, so when Keefe interrupted I almost ripped the book in half. But I didn't. Yay, self restraint.

His eyes locked onto hers, refusing to let her look away. And when she swallowed, it was so loud she was sure the entire world could hear it.

"Or," Fitz said, "We could skip the talking."

"And do what?" she asked, hating her voice for cracking.

"Any ideas?" He was so close now, she could feel his breath warming her cheeks. He leaned a tiny bit closer.

"Not really," Sophie whispered, and then she closed the distance between them, feeling his soft warm lips pressed against hers. She leaned into him, and suddenly the only things that mattered in this world were her and Fitz. All of her worries had just floated away on a warm breeze when she heard approaching footsteps. As fast as she could, Sophie jumped away from Fitz, hoping nobody had seen the kiss. But it was too late. Keefe stood in front of then, a shocked and horrified expression on his face.

"Uh oh," Fitz said as he pulled Sophie to her feet.
