Lips Like Yours.
The soft silence was shattered, only by their happiness. The padded flakes spilling from the distant puffs muffled seemingly all sound. Snow was a wonderful insulator and mute. And, under the night's purple eyes, it was tinted the most lovely shade of light blue. Though, the street lamps the lit the currently empty roads made the snow a warmer color. It did not matter. Every step and twirl they made was marked by the powdery ice. Their warm breaths tinted the air in a fog.
"You know, when I was little, my mom told me if you caught a snow flake on your tongue, your wish would come true." A sweet voice said, looking up at the swirling flakes.
"Really? Did it ever work?" The taller asked in return. Those protective and warm arms wrapped around the cold waist.
"Maybe." Such a coy response. She flipped her mid-back length hair. It was eccentrically colored, and with the specks of white snow in it, her hair truly looked like waves crashing onto the beach. Michiru slipped away from the intimate embrace of her lover.
"Michiru, I'm going to get cold without you." Haruka pouted. Michiru smiled up at her. Haruka's sandy hair dusted with snowflakes and her beautiful green eyes filled with angelic affection was enough to make Michiru's breath flee from her lungs. Michiru wrapped her arms around Haruka and leaned her head on the soldier's breasts. Haruka in turn combed her fingers lovingly through the elegant goddess's hair.
"You never answered my question, lover." Haruka whispered. Michiru looked up at Haruka again. Taking her elegant but frigid fingers, Michiru traced them over Haruka's pale lips. After that small motion, she kissed the taller one. Once the kiss was broken, Michiru smiled.
"If those are the same lips as this morning, and I will continue to have you every night and morning, then it worked." Michiru whispered. Haruka blushed lightly, remembering clearly what activities happen in their bedroom. Haruka kissed Michiru. Then, after the chaste kiss, Haruka looked up to the sky, and stuck out her tongue, attempting to catch a flake. And, in a few moments, she caught one.
"What did you wish for?" Michiru asked.
"There's nothing to wish for, you'll always be with me." Haruka responded.
"Fate already bound us together. But, you're right, everything is perfect, isn't it?"
"With lips like yours, how could anything be less than perfect?"
"Now, now, Haruka, save that sort of talk for the bedroom, we need to get warm somehow tonight."
