Mario and Sonic

Mario and Sonic

Our story begins in the Mushroom Kingdom, where the beautiful and beloved princess of that land, Peach Toadstool, was holding a small get together at her castle with her best friends. At her party, the princess had invited Mario, world famous hero and protector of The Mushroom Kingdom, Luigi, renowned sidekick, coward and occasional hero, and finally Princess Daisy, Peach's best friend, also the tomboyish ruler of Sarasaland. They were all having a very pleasant conversation with Toad, Toadsworth and Toadette, when they began speaking of Bowser, known as "The Koopa King, Leader of the Koopa Troop".

"Man, I really wish Bowser would stop kidnapping you all the time!" Daisy exclaimed.

"I wish so too Daisy." Replied the cheeky blonde princess, "But I doubt that he will ever give up on me." She added after sipping a bit of her tea.

"Oh c'mon Princess, you can't give up hope!" said the plumber in green, "There has to be something we can do."

"Not only that we "can" do something, but we have to!" Daisy said, agreeing with Luigi, "You can't have Mario come and save you every time something happens to you."

Peach jumped at Daisy's comment, and immediately glanced at Mario who was sitting right in front of her. Although the fair princess of The Mushroom Kingdom is very grateful for all that Mario and his friends do for her, she is very touchy about it deep down inside. Princess Peach has always wished she would be able to defend herself from Bowser and his minions, but she never seems to be able to shake them off, and they always succeed in taking her. The word "independent" had always charmed her since she was a little girl, but she always feels like the entire concept of the word is non-existent in her world.

"Master Luigi and Princess Daisy, you are both absolutely right!" Exclaimed Toadsworth, the elderly Toad. "We have to think of a better way of keeping the princess safe. Anybody have any suggestions? Master Mario?"

Mario began to think; he put his hand under his chin and exclaimed his semi-famous "hmmm". Mario continued to think, when finally after a minute and a half of silence Mario said "I don't know".

Then, everybody else began sharing ideas, although all their ideas were pretty bad. It seemed as if all hope for a way to stop Bowser could be anything but possible. However, if only our heroes knew of the trouble brewing not too far off from the castle.
