It was a sunny July day. Eight-year-old Nymphadora Tonks looked longingly at the Quality Quidditch Supplies across the street, and wished that she didn't have to be stuck in Madam Malkins, while her mother bought dress robes for some wedding.

She walked aimlessly around the shop.

" Mum!" Dora whined, tugging at what she thought were her mother's robes, " Can we leave now?"

" I'm not your mother," a cold voice said, " And don't touch me"

Dora looked up. The woman was about the same height as her mother, and their faces looked about the same. Unlike her mother, this woman had long, blonde hair, icy blue eyes, and a stony expression on her face.

" Oh, sorry," Dora said, feeling embarrassed. " What's your name, then?"

" Narcissa," the woman said, somewhat haughtily.

" I'm Dora, short for Nymphadora. I don't like to be called that, though. My friends sometimes like to call me by my last name, Tonks"

Dora didn't notice the woman's lip curl when she said her last name.

" Are you Andromeda's daughter, sweetie?" Narcissa said, her manner changing from cold, to saccharine.

Dora nodded. " I'm also a Metamorphagus" To prove her point, she screwed up her face, as if remembering something, and changed her bubble-gum pink hair to bright green.

Narcissa looked at Dora's hair, revolted.

" Dora, what have I told you about talking to strangers?" Andromeda Tonks chided, as she walked toward them. She froze at the sight of her younger sister.

" Narcissa?"

" Andromeda" Narcissa sneered, " How is the mudblood husband these days?"

Andromeda became white with anger. " Don't call him a Mudblood!"

Dora looked to her feet. She knew that "Mudblood" was the foulest term someone could use to describe a muggle-born.

" Cissy, why are you talking to that blood traitor?"

Narcissa and Andromeda both turned. A woman with heavy lidded eyes strode over to them.

" Bella," Narcissa said, " What are you doing here?"

Bella ignored Narcissa's question. " Well, well, Andromeda. Haven't seen you in a while"

" You could have seen me anytime you wanted, Bellatrix" Andromeda spat, " But you chose not to"

" Why would we?" Bellatrix cackled, " Cissy and I have no desire to see you and that Mudblood creature you call a husband. We never did get over the shock of our own sister being a filthy blood traitor" At the end of this statement, Bellatrix looked quite insane.

Dora finally spoke, her voice cracking. " How do you know them?"

Narcissa looked at Andromeda, feigning incredulity, " You haven't told her yet?"

Andromeda took a deep breath, and rested her hand on the counter for support.

" Dora, these are your aunts, Bellatrix and Narcissa"

Bellatrix glared at her niece, her dark eyes gleaming. She looked at Andromeda.

" Maybe you should watch out for your daughter, Andy" Bella simpered, twirling her wand, " You never know what might happen to her,"

" Don't ever go near my family!" Andromeda snarled, looking up at her older sister with a new sense of hatred.

Madam Malkin hurried over to them. " Please quiet down, or I have to ask you to leave,"

Andromeda ignored her, and turned to her sisters.

" I mean what I said. If you EVER touch my family, I'll kill you,"

Bellatrix snickered. " And I'm supposed to be the psychopathic one"

Andromeda swept out of the shop, with Dora in tow, praying that she'd never meet her sisters again. Little did she know, she'd looked into the cold, merciless eyes of the woman who would kill her daughter, seventeen years later.

Yeahh. So this is my take on how Tonks met her aunts. I tried my best to make Bella as close as her actual character, Narcissa, who is kinder than Bellatrix, but is still a snob, Tonks, an average eight year old, and Andromeda as a concerned mother.
