Hello all Storm here with a new story! Yes I know update my other stories and all that, well I tried and couldn't until I got all these new ideas out of my head, I can't help if I am creative! Now this is another Naruko story as I figured there aren't enough Naruko crossover stories, maybe, I don't know honestly, whatever. So, without further ado.

I own nothing

If one were to look at Konohagakure, the Village Hidden in the Leaves, they would see a peaceful village filled with kind people most of whom could be seen outside enjoying the day with their friends and family, while ninja patrolled the village. Yes, Konoha was a shining example of a peace loving village with Shinobi and Kunoichi willing to give their lives to protect their home.

But if one looked close enough they would see that Konoha is not the bright and peaceful village it looks to be. Konoha had its own skeletons that it kept buried from everyone, skeletons that would show everyone that Konoha and its people weren't as kind as they portrayed themselves.

One such skeleton sat curled up in an alley.

Sitting in an alley was an eight-year-old girl with long bright blonde hair that stopped at midback, light blue eyes, lightly tanned skin, three whisker marks on each cheek, and wearing blue sandals, green shorts, and a black shirt with a red swirl on it.

This girl was Naruko Uzumaki, the Jinchuuriki of the Kyuubi no Kitsune, not that she was aware of this fact.

The reason Naruko was sitting in an alley was because five days ago the orphanage matron had kicked her out saying that she wouldn't "help a demon anymore", whatever that meant. Naruko didn't know why but for as long as she could remember everyone in the village either hated her or ignored her existence.

Naruko didn't know why and at the moment she didn't care. Right now she only cared about finding something to eat, not having eaten anything since she was kicked out of the orphanage. After the first three days she had even resorted to looking through the trash behind restaurants to see if she could find anything, but she was either chased away, usually by the workers throwing rocks at her, or couldn't find anything she could eat.

Right now Naruko had been contemplating something she would have preferred not doing, stealing from a stall. Naruko had thought of stealing but chose not to, not wanting to give villagers even more reason to hate her. But now she realized it was probably her only choice.

Getting up Naruko made her way to the market stall making sure to avoid being seen by anyone, both to avoid the villagers glares and not draw any attention to herself.

Once she reached the market Naruko it was bustling with activity making her gulp. Looking around she soon spotted a stand selling different types of breads and the stall owner was busy talking to some people.

Seeing her chance Naruko prepared to run up but quickly stopped herself and looked down. She was to recognizable and if she was caught stealing who knows what the villagers would do to her. While there would be the occasional rock throw at her or insults, she didn't want to risk being attacked.

'Maybe…' Naruko thought

Reaching to the ground Naruko grabbed some dirt and began rubbing it on her face, hair, and clothes. After a moment Naruko looked in a nearby window and saw she looked less recognizable, her whisker marks were hidden by the dirt, her hair was less bright and eye-catching, and her clothes were dirty.

While one someone would likely recognize her on close inspection at a glance she looked like any other kid that got dirty playing around.

Nodding to herself Naruko exited the alley and began making her way to the stand, being sure to keep her face lowered so as to avoid anyone possibly recognizing her. Once she reached the stand Naruko looked out from behind her bangs making sure no one was looking she quickly grabbed a loaf of bread.

Though before she could try and escape someone grabbed the back of her shirt and lifted her into the air getting a yelp from the small girl.

"What do we have a filthy little street urchin trying to steal." The owner said glaring at Naruko, who was internally freaking out

Even more so when the man narrowed his eyes and looked at her more closely. Freaking out Naruko thought of a way to escape before he could recognize her.

"Wait a minute you look familiar-AAH!" The owner screamed

Naruko having reacted quickly brought her leg up and kicked the man in the face, a dull crunch sound signifying a possible broken nose. But it did the trick as he let her go and Naruko took off running.

"Hey! Someone stop that thief!" The man screamed holding his bleeding nose

Naruko kept running cutting corners and pushing past people, even knocking things to slow down any possible pursuers. Eventually she turned into an alley only to pale when she saw it was a dead end, even more so when she heard voices.

"She went down this way let's get her!"

'Crap! Think, think, think!' Naruko thought looking around

She then spotted several boxes stacked up against a wall. Seeing an opportunity Naruko quickly took a running start towards the boxes and began jumping and climbing up them before with a final jump she grabbed the edge of the roof and pulled herself up. Laying still for several moments Naruko waited for her pursuers to leave.

When they did she breathed a sigh of relief before looking at the stolen bread she managed to hold onto during the chase. Without hesitation Naruko tore into the bread eating every last bite of it, a content expression on her face at finally having something to eat.

Though with her contentment Naruko also felt excitement. She hadn't felt while being chased but now that she was safe, being to worried about getting caught. Naruko realized how excited she had been when she managed to successfully steal the bread, of stealing something right out from under someone's nose. Along with feeling it as a small amount of payback against the villagers.

'Maybe stealing isn't so bad after all.' Naruko thought lying on her back

All while wondering what she'll steal next.

*Timeskip-Four Months*

Naruko climbed up to the library's roof using a makeshift grappling hook she had made. The reason she was climbing the library was because she was going to steal some books.

The past four months Naruko had begun stealing from different food stalls, sometimes being successful in going unnoticed other times being caught and having to run away. Sometimes she also managed to grab a few ryo's that she's begun putting in a safe spot over the months. She even managed to find an abandoned apartment to stay in.

But overtime Naruko has come to realize that she couldn't just rely on going unnoticed or being able to outrun her pursuers, as what would happen if she was chased by someone faster than her or someone stronger than her grabbed her and she couldn't escape.

Both situations she'd like to avoid happening.

So, Naruko decided to go to the library and get some books that could help her. But when she had first gotten there the librarian had kicked her out the moment she walked through the doors. Knowing getting the books the normal way was out of the question Naruko decided to simply steal them.

To prepare herself for this Naruko broke into several clothing stores, getting different articles of black clothing to better hide herself at night. Along with a ninja supply store to get the stuff she used to make a grappling hook.

After a few days Naruko finally put her plan into action. Waiting for night to fall and the library to be empty, she went to the side of the building and, after multiple attempts of getting her grappling hook high enough to hook onto the roof, she began scaling up the wall.

She was also wearing her new black clothes, consisting of black boots, black pants, a black hoodie with the hood pulled up and her hair tucked into it, and a black face mask that covered everything from her nose down. While she had a black backpack to carry the books.

Naruko soon reached the roof and took her grappling hook wrapping the rope diagonally across her chest.

'Note to self, find a more effective way to scale buildings, besides chakra.' Naruko thought annoyed at how long it took

Going over to the skylight Naruko looked inside making sure no one was inside. Not seeing anyone inside Naruko took out a kunai and began cutting a circle into the glass. It took some doing and it wasn't perfect but Naruko managed to do it and pulled the cut glass out and setting it down on the roof.

With that done Naruko grappled down into the library dropping down quietly just in case there was someone here. Immediately Naruko went to work darting around the library grabbing books and putting them into her pack.

The books she grabbed were mostly beginner books to Taijutsu, trap building and setting, stealth, acrobatics and gymnastics, parkour, along with anything else she might need.

Once she had them all Naruko went back and climbed back up, replacing the glass making sure it wouldn't accidently fall out, and finally left.

*Timeskip-Eight Months*

"Well what do you think Naruko-chan?" Asked the Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, motioning to the inside of the apartment

Naruko looked around the apartment while making sure to keep the Hokage in her line of sight. She was wary of the old man, as if the past year taught her anything is that no one did anything nice for her unless they had an ulterior motive. Naruko has learned to spot if some had ill intent for her whether it was how they moved, spoke, or acted.

With the Hokage he seemed genuine, but he could also just be better at hiding his feelings. And giving her an apartment just like that definitely made Naruko wary, but she didn't show it.

"It's really great! Much better than having to sleep outside all the time. And you're just giving it to me old man?" Naruko said acting like any other nine-year-old would in her place

"Yes, it's yours Naruko-chan. You'll also be getting a monthly allowance to pay for all the essentials you'll need." Sarutobi said wincing slightly when she mentioned sleeping outside, something Naruko noticed

"So he's either known or only recently learned I was kicked out of the orphanage.' Naruko thought

"Wow really?! Thank you so much!" Naruko cheered jumping around, getting a laugh from the Hokage

"Well I'll leave you to get settled in. If you need anything just stop by my office." Hiruzen said leaving the apartment

After Naruko could no longer hear the old mans foot steps she dropped her excited expression and instantly went about searching the apartment for any listening devices or cameras, not taking any chances of this being some sort of trap. Once done with her thorough search Naruko looked around the apartment with a frown, wondering what the Hokage's angle was for giving her a legitimate place to live.

She still put on the act of being a homeless little girl for the past year, not wanting to let any of the villagers know she had a place to live. It had surprised and confused Naruko when the Hokage suddenly came to her and said he got her an apartment apparently free of charge and didn't expect anything in return.

Yeah Naruko wasn't buying it.

What made her so special that the Hokage himself was giving her an apartment and didn't ask for anything in return. Whatever the reason may be Naruko will figure it out at another time, for now she had to get back to her hideout and get stuff.

'Later, for now I want to get the lay out of this place.' Naruko thought exiting the apartment and began going about to see how big it was, who lived there, and all the entrance and exit points

*Later*

"And that's the last of it.' Naruko said to herself putting away the rest of her stolen money and other goods

She managed to remove some wooden planks in the back of her closet and make a small hidden cubby to store her stolen stuff. Replacing the boards Naruko moved to back to her living room/kitchen.

Grabbing a notebook she set on the table, opening showed designs of different gadgets and suits that Naruko had been working on her spare time. She figured if she was going to steal, it'd be better to make a custom suit than wear regular clothes that could be traced back to her. So far the designs she has can't work as it needs to be something that won't restrict her movements, trip her, get caught on anything, or be easily grabbed by anyone chasing her.

Now normally for someone forced into Naruko's position to steal in order to survive, they would stop once they had a place to live and a steady amount of money.

But for Naruko she didn't want to stop, she just had to much fun stealing from people, plus she had no doubt if it was ever discovered she had been stealing the entire village would come after her. Plus now she can start stealing things she wanted rather than what she needed.

'But first I have make a proper suit.' Naruko thought tapping her pencil on the table

Suddenly something from the corner of her eyes caught her attention. Looking out her window she saw something jumping across rooftops. Going outside Naruko looked more closely and saw it was a cat.

'A black cat.' Thought Naruko smiling as she got an idea

Going back inside she began drawing out her suit design.

*Timeskip-One Year*

"Alright let's see how these do." Naruko said to herself tinkering with two writ mounted devices

She was currently in the forest surrounding the village, far enough away that no one would find her but still close enough that she can slip back to her apartment without anyone noticing. The reason Naruko was out here was to test out her new suit she had just finished making along with wrist mounted grappling hooks.

The suit was rather simple in design being a black suit made of durable materials and some mesh armor woven in between for added protection. The grappling hooks were bulky gauntlets, too bulky for her taste, that works by firing a steel chord with a claw attachment to latch onto or bury into a target and let her swing around and being reeled back in for continued use. Though she's hoping to make them smaller, at least small enough to hide in more streamlined gauntlets.

'Well here's goes nothing.' Thought Naruko taking a deep breath

Getting a running start Naruko fired one of the grappling hooks that latched onto a branch. Reeling the chord in a little Naruko was lifted off the ground and grabbed the chord with both hands.

"So far so good." Muttered Naruko as she swung through the air

When she reached the height of her swing she had the claw release the branch and quickly fired the second one as the first was reeled in.

Grinning at her success Naruko began swinging between the trees, even launching herself above the tree line and doing tricks in the air.

"WOOHOO!" Naruko cheered doing a backflip in the air a wide grin on her face

But while she was cheering at her success, Naruko failed to notice that the chords of one of her grapples was starting to strain and break under the pressure. With each swing the chord broke more and more until finally…

*SNAP*

"AAAH!"

…It snapped.

Naruko screamed in surprise and pain as she fell back to the ground hitting several branches on the way down.

'Ooooow. Ugh, note to self, find a stronger material for grappling chords… and for a new suit.' Naruko thought looking and seeing her suit was torn apart the mesh armor being torn apart as well

Though she was in pain Naruko still had a grin on her face that this wasn't a complete failure.

*Timeskip-Two Years*

"Okay leather seems like the best choice." Naruko said entering her apartment and holding another suit

After several other failed suits she finally found a material durable enough to make her suit out of. Leather worked as it didn't restrict her movements, tight enough that the chance of it getting caught on anything or being grabbed, and it was strong to provide minor protection against physical attacks and weapons.

It took her two years going through different materials because just a few months after her first test run of her grappling hooks, she had been enrolled into the Academy. While Naruko could honestly careless about being a Ninja, she still had to act like the grateful little orphan girl to the Hokage that helped her so much.

It was annoying and tedious but Naruko couldn't do anything that could make the old man suspicious of her. So, with great reluctance she entered the Academy.

And it has proven to be the biggest mistake of her life!

From the moment she entered the Academy the instructors made it no secret they didn't like her, calling on her to answer questions no Academy student could no the answer to, kicking her out of classes when she allegedly caused a problem. Not that she cared about the last part as it gave her more time to focus on her thieving and finishing her suit.

But the worst part, the absolute worst part, were those poor excuse for kunoichi classes. How was flower arranging supposed to help any of them on missions?

'Am I supposed to bore my enemies to death with my knowledge of flowers?!' Naruko mentally raged

What made it worse were the girls she had to attend to classes with, most of them were either fangirls waiting for their knight in shining armor to save them or only care about fashion. Sure Naruko will admit she enjoys fashionable clothing but she'd prefer her clothes be functional first.

It only annoyed Naruko even more that going into the Academy cut into her time working on her equipment.

Luckily Naruko was finally finished making her suit. A striking black leather suit that will hug her body nicely, black leather heeled boots, black leather gloves with clawed fingertips, and her improved and miniaturized grappling hooks attached to the gloves. She also had a black mask to go around her eyes.

Looking over the suit Naruko frowned as she looked between the suit and the drawn design she made. The suit was completely identical but looking at the drawing Naruko couldn't help but think she'd still be recognizable in the suit.

Grabbing the mask Naruko put it on and looked at herself in the mirror. Maybe it's just because she knew it was her, but Naruko knew she'd be recognized by anyone that knew what she looked like.

'Mostly because of my whiskers and bright hair color.' Thought Naruko agitated grabbing a strand of her golden blonde hair

Don't get her wrong Naruko liked her hair, as it was a color no one else in the village, it was unique to her. It wasn't the platinum blonde of that spoiled little princess Ino Yamanaka, or a gaudy pink color like Sakura Haruno. Nope it was a perfect sunny yellow color.

But that didn't stop Naruko from cursing whichever of her parents gave her such an eye catching hair color.

That and her whisker marks were another dead giveaway, as Naruko doubts there are a lot of people with whisker birthmarks.

'I'll think of something.' Naruko thought taking the mask off and setting it down

Looking back at the suit Naruko also couldn't help but feel like there was something missing from it.

Knowing she was far from done Naruko grabbed her notebook and began writing down ideas.

*Timeskip-Four Years*

Naruko couldn't keep the grin off her face as she entered her apartment. The reason for her grin was because she was just handed a golden opportunity of finally leaving Konoha. She always planned on leaving Konoha eventually, she just couldn't stay in a place where the people hated her existence and besides she didn't have any friends or family that'd miss her.

She had just finished talking with Mizuki, one of the instructors at the Academy and one that tried to act nice to her. But she knew he hated her as well as while his words and body lie his eyes show the truth. He had told her about a secret graduation test to become a ninja, after she failed the graduation exam for the third time.

All Naruko had to do was steal the Scroll of Seals from the Hokage's Office and bring it to Mizuki and she'd become a ninja. It made Naruko mentally snort, if she had been starved for attention or an idiot she might have fallen for his trick, luckily she is neither of those things.

That didn't mean she wasn't going to steal the scroll, but she's taking it for herself, along with anything she'll find useful in the Hokage's Office. Plus now she can finally try out her completed suit.

'Time to get ready.' Thought Naruko grabbing some hair dye and make up before going into the bathroom

*Later*

Naruko threw her head back as she looked at her now silver-white hair and whiskerless face. Nodding Naruko grabbed some colored contacts, putting them in her eyes were now green.

She was now completely unrecognizable from her previous appearance.

'Now the finishing touch.' Naruko thought with a smirk exiting the bathroom and grabbed her suit

Slipping the bodysuit on Naruko then pulled on and zipped the heeled boots, next were the gloves flexing her fingers causing the claws to pop out. Finally she grabbed her mask and put it on around her eyes.

Looking herself over in the mirror Naruko couldn't keep the smirk off her face. The suit hugged her rather nicely outlining the curves she had, it was the same aside from the added white fur lining the collar, on her forearms hiding her grappling hooks, and the back of her calves.

"Meow." Naruko purred

With her disguise in place Naruko exited the apartment through the window, she'd already put all her possessions and stolen goods in a storage scroll. Sticking to the shadows Naruko made her away to the Hokage Tower while avoiding any patrolling ninja.

Once she reached the tower Naruko dug her claws into the building scaled the wall up to the Hokage's Office window. Once at the window Naruko cut a perfect circle into the window and pulled it out, climbing into the office she set the glass down and looked around.

'Now where would I keep a big important scroll?' Thought Naruko

Going around the room she pressed her ear against the wall and tapped the walls seeing if anything was hidden behind them. Next she checked the desk for hidden compartments, not find much besides a collection of books called "Icha Icha", which Naruko immediately tore to shreds when she realized what they were.

Looking around Naruko's sights soon fell on the pictures of all the past Hokages. Walking over to them she took the Sandaime's picture off the wall revealing a safe.

'Bingo.' Naruko thought smirking

Pressing her ear against the safe Naruko listened carefully for the tumblers as she turned the dial. After a few moments she finally got it and pulled it open, inside she found the Forbidden Scroll along with a bunch of documents. Grabbing the scroll Naruko sealed it away before looking at the documents deciding whether or not to take them as well.

'They could be useful for blackmail, depending on what they are.'

Taking the documents Naruko sealed them away. Looking to the other portraits she dismissed the Shodaime and Nidaime, doubting they'd keep anything behind their pictures when they have the Senju Compound.

Going to the Yondaime's picture Naruko frowned as she looked at it. She never really saw a picture of the Yondaime, only ever reading about him, the Yellow Flash Minato Namikaze, but seeing his face now Naruko couldn't deny that he really looked familiar.

Same hair color, same eye color, and if he had whisker marks he'd look like a male version of her.

'Then again if I was the Yondaime's daughter wouldn't someone have noticed or told me? Unless someone wanted to remain ignorant.' Naruko said mentally

Pushing those thoughts to the side Naruko took the portrait down, but rather than a safe she saw a large sealing formula. Mentally cursing herself for not knowing anything about seals, Naruko put her hand on the seal and channeled chakra into it, knowing most seals usually reacted when you channeled chakra into them.

She just hoped it didn't blow up in her face.

Thankfully nothing bad happened as the seal and the part of the wall it was on vanished revealing a hidden compartment. Nothing much was inside it aside from three scrolls, one blue one yellow and the last red, and a letter. Curious Naruko grabbed the letter and was shocked when she saw it was addressed to her.

Shaking off her shock Naruto grabbed the scrolls and letter before sealing them away, she'll worry about them once she's out of Konoha. She turned to leave but stopped and nearly smacked herself.

'Almost forgot.' Naruko thought

Pulling out another scroll Naruko unsealed an object and put it in the now empty safe before jumping out the window making her way out of the village.

The object being a little doll.

A black cat doll.

*Next Day*

Naruko dropped her transformation as she entered the hotel room she got in a town that's a fair distance away from Konoha. She had quickly left the village, making a small detour to the place she was supposed to meet Mizuki at leaving him a rather nasty surprise for when he got there.

Now that she finally had some time to herself she sat on the bed and pulled out the letter addressed to her. Naruko took her mask off and looked at the letter a little nervous, unsure if she should open it or not, and if she did what would it say?

'Well I never got anywhere without taking some risks.' Naruko thought opening the letter and began reading

Hey sweetie it's your Kaa-chan, Kushina Uzumaki, if you're reading this then that must mean you've just entered the Academy. And if you are reading this then that means something went wrong and the Kyuubi somehow escape it's seal and, likely against my wishes, your father sealed the fox into you. You see I'm what's known as a Jinchuuriki, someone who has a Tailed Beast sealed in them, I had the Kyuubi no Kitsune sealed inside me when I was little girl by its previous Jinchuuriki, Mito Uzumaki the Shodaime's wife.

But when a female Jinchuuriki goes into labor the seal holding their Tailed Beast weakens to the point of it breaking. Your father, Minato Namikaze, was supposed to help keep the seal intact, but obviously if you're reading this something went wrong. I never wanted you to become a Jinchuuriki, the pain and loneliness can be to much to bear, I would have rather taken the fox back into me but I'm sure Minato would say something about preserving the balance between the villages. Fancy way of saying you'd basically be turned into a weapon for war.

If the worse does happen and I die, and you become the Kyuubi's Jinchuuriki then I want you to know no matter what the villagers think of you if they see you as a monster, I will love you no matter what. And if he villagers do see you as a monster rather than the person keeping them from being destroyed, then please don't waste your time trying to change how they see you just focus on those that you can really call your friends. The most important thing you can do is worry about your own happiness and not what other people think of you.

Finally there are some advice I want to tell you if I never have the chance to tell you in person and I hope you'll never forget them. Naruko...don't be a picky eater, eat alot and grow big and strong! Take your bath everyday...go to bed early and sleep well. Study hard on your Ninjutsu...I was never very good at it...maybe you will...everyone is good at some things and not so good at others...and if things don't go so well...don't get so depressed. At the academy, listen to your teachers. Make friends! It doesn't matter how many...just make sure that they're people you can really trust...and a few is enough! Regarding the Three Prohibitions of the shinobi, be careful when you loan and borrow money, make sure to save your missions pay carefully, and no drinking alcohol until your 20...too much sake is harmful for your body. As for boys...well...I'm a girl so I don't really know what to say...but sooner or later, I know you'll meet someone special who will love and cherish you...just...don't fall for a strange one. There's going to be hard and painful times ahead...take good care of yourself...! Find a goal...a dream...and don't stop trying until it comes true! There's...there's...there's so much more I want to tell you...to teach you...I want to stay with you longer...I love you. Finally, thank you for letting me be you mother...and Minato for being your father...thank you...for being born to us!

With all my love,

Kushina Uzumaki

P.S., if that pervert Jiraiya abandoned his duties as your godfather you have my explicit permission to break every bone in his body, then castrate him with a dull rusty kunai. Also the scrolls that you were hopefully given along with this letter contain your father's Hiraishin, Rasengan, and all our knowledge on seals.

Naruko looked at the letter with a mixture of shock, realization, happiness, and relief. Shock at finally learning why she was hated, she had the Kyuubi sealed inside her by her own father no less. And wasn't that something her father as the Yondaime, though she had her suspicions they were somehow related but now it was confirmed for her. That him sealing the Kyuubi in her was the reason she was hated took some time to register.

But she also felt happiness and relief, that at least one of her parents loved her, that she wasn't abandoned. Naruko reached up a hand when she felt something on her face.

'I'm… crying.' Naruko thought seeing tears trailing down her cheeks

The last time she cried was just after she was kicked out of the orphanage, after that she swore to never cry again as crying wouldn't change anything. But now she wasn't crying in sadness, she crying because she was happy.

Happy to finally know who her parents were, to know why everyone hated her, but most importantly to know that she was loved. That's all she ever wanted to know at least one person loved her.

But with that happiness also came anger. Anger at the villagers that hated her for something she had no choice in, anger at her father for turning into a Jinchuuriki, anger at the Hokage for not giving her, her heritage, and anger at whoever this Jiraiya person was, her supposed godfather.

'If I ever see or meet any of them again. I'll show them you mess with the cat…' Thought Naruko her claws popping out

'… You get the claws.'

Looking back at the letter Naruko focused on the last part her Kaa-chan wrote, "Find a goal...a dream...and don't stop trying until it comes true!".

In another life Naruko might have dreamed of becoming Hokage, to earn the villagers respect and recognition. But in this life her dream was one she could be proud of.

'I swear Kaa-chan I'll achieve my dream. I'll make sure all of the Elemental Countries will know the name Black Cat, the Great Thief to ever live!' Naruko swore holding the letter close to her chest and a smile on her face

So, what did you think, good. Yep Naruko is the lovely Black Cat, has become aware of her heritage, stolen the Forbidden Scroll successfully, escaped from Konoha, and now has plans to become the greatest thief. Will she succeed, will she fail, what will she steal next, all this and more next time! So, review if you liked go away if you didn't.

Storm out.
