I am Princess Marinette of the small island Dupain-Cheng. I am part of this competition to marry Prince Adrien of Agreste. We have been friends since we were 13, as our parents made us meet a lot during that time.

His lord-in-waiting and best friend Nino and my lady-in-waiting and best friend Alya fell in love so we had to meet a lot more. I had a crush on him when we were younger but I haven't seen him since we were 17 it's been 3 yrs.

I arrived yesterday night and have already unpacked so I'm going to the lounge room. I'm wearing a light pink short sweetheart neckline gown with lace over my upper chest. I'm walking down the hallway then I see him.

I whisper, "OMG its Prince Adrien"

He turns around, "oh hey Mari" then winks while I rub my neck nervously.

"H-he-hey Adrien" I stutter

Then I hear a terrible voice, the voice of death and destruction otherwise known as

"Heyyyyyy Adri-kins"

Princess Chloe of Bourgeois, a giant country almost equal the size of Agreste. She and Adrien knew each other since diapers.

"Oh Mari-trash you're here too" she says disgusted

"Chloe that's not her name" Adrien says annoyed

"Do you think I care… based on her "country's" size she is barely even a princess" she replies

I trip almost in slow motion Adrien runs to help me while Chloe just laughs. I get up and wipe myself off. I turn and glare at Chloe and smile at Adrien. Chloe rolls her eyes and walks away.

"Bye Adri-honey"

Adrien just makes a disgusted face and then turns to me.

"Goodbye Marinette"

"Bye Adrien"

I sit in the lounge and read a book then look through my instagram, I'm required to have one so I can connect to the younger citizens. I also have a snapchat and a facebook.

It became really late so I go to my room and there is Alya. I wave at her then change into my pajamas.

"Girl you need to win this competition" Alya tells me

"But I'm so nervous, he's hot now and he is sweeter than he was before!" I rant

She laughs and says "How is that even possible"

"I don't know!"

"Whatever girl you have to get beauty sleep for tomorrow"

"Ok Alya"

"Night Mari"

I go to sleep

Adrien's POV

I'm in my private living room with my best friend and lord-in-waiting Nino. Today is when I'm prestented all my suitors and when I narrowed it down to the last 3. I am so nervous what if I can't find the perfect girl out there

"Hey dude"

"Nino I'm so nervous about today!"

"Chill it'll all be good you have me as your right hand man"

"Yeah.. lets go"

"Ok man"

Marinette's POV

I'm standing in the ballroom in a line of girls who want to marry Adrien. I'm wearing a sweetheart neckline light blue gown with gems on the waist. They call "first person!" thats me!

I walk up to Adrien he looks nervous.

"Hey Marinette"

"Hey Adrien" I say and then winked

He rubs the back of his neck then says "so hw are you going to convince me you are the perfect suitor?"

"My kingdom has various types of crops that can solve Agreste's food decline before it turnsinto a famine"

"So far you seem like the best choice"

Adriens POV

I am so happy there is at least one down to earth person here. Here comes Chloe, she pranced up to me with a pink dress with a ginarmous tutu flowers and glitter and a tiara.

"Ok Adri-kins let me get this straight, I'm the perefect suitor" I contain an eye roll

"Um ok"

"Im the next leader to a big country and thats all you need to convince you"

I roll my eyes as she walks away.

Duchess Lila from Agreste is coming she would be a good choice because she is from our home country.

"Adrien my family has so many connections and we are the richest nobles family in Agreste"

I stare at her knowing the truth because I've seen the money the Rossi family is making and it has declined considerably

"Dont lie duchess just leave"

I meet a dozen more suitors then while I'm walking to my room I see Marinette's room is on the way. I drop by Marinette's room. I see that she is still in her gown and just sitting in her chair.

"Hey Mari I had a great time tonight becuase of you, and you were such a great suitor"

She gasps and says "Adrien I don't know what to say"

"Well we should hang more you are my favorite suitor"

"Uhhh th-thanks Adrien"

"I actually wanna get to know you"

"Now?!"

"Yeah so I'll start, whats your favorite color?"

"Pink! how about you?"

"Blue"

"Favorite animal?"

"Ladybug"

"Mine is the black cat, so we like contradicting animals ying and yang"

"So are you sure you wanna marry me?"

"Adrien I liked you since I was 14 so of course I do"

"Really Marinette how come I never knew" I gasped

"You were pretty oblivious"

"Yes I was" I laugh

"See you at breakfast tomorrow"

"Yes I'll see you"

I winked at her than flashed finger guns
