A/N: Hello and welcome to Dead In The Water! This is a complete rewrite of a story that I have on my profile called Scattered Amongst The Weeds which some of you may remember. Some of you who read Scattered Amongst The Weeds will remember certain parts of the story but I wanted to delve into the days after the first initial outbreak as well as touch upon the uproar and chaos of the world.
I have so much planned for this and I'm so excited to share it with you. Please read and review, as I'd love to know what you think! Thank you!

There were many theories as to why the world had ended.
Many believed it was the wrath of God with Him seeking retribution for all that we had done to the Earth that He had created. He didn't need a reason for his decision but those left in its path would try and find hope in the darkest of times.
Others believed it was divine intervention, a way of receiving the opportunity for a clean slate from all the mistakes and burdens the world had seen, experienced and were responsible for. An ultimate right to many unfortunate wrongs.
And a select few believed it was fate. It was as cruel as death, unstoppable with every twist and turn, that showed the world just how unexpected things could be. And for what? To prove a point that not everything is concrete, or tangible, and could easily be broken like a glass shattering upon a concrete floor.
But it happened. The end of the world had been nigh for many years.
Conquest, War, Famine, and Death.
And now death was something that came to many. And it all began on a normal hot day – and to those who would look back on that day for years to come would wonder just how everything had changed in such a short amount of time. Their loved ones would be taken from them in the most gruesome ways imaginable, and they would have dealt with death every single day.
The world was its stage. The virus was its main event. Those who died was its cast. And those who survived, trying to find salvation in a world of death, was its audience.
But with the end of the world came the monsters that crept out the cracks on the broken world. The death would not be just the audiences only threat, but rather a fitting tribute to what would be their true end.
And without further ado; sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
