For Bad Mum's 100 Prompts of Christmas challenge. Prompts given were bells and light. Brief mention of Sirius/Remus ;]

Disclaimer: I do not own Christmas…*sigh* or Harry Potter.

Gold Lights

Sirius Black wasn't a fan of Christmas. Really, who could blame him? His family wasn't the happiest of people and Christmas only meant that his father was going to get drunk out of his mind. Not to mention his mother, who saw it as the perfect time to rub their wealth and lineage at other Pureblood families' faces during parties. And Regulus, well, what about him?

Sirius Black was not a fan of Christmas. Until he ran away.

It was his first Christmas away from home and the first with the Potters. Needless to say, he was an instant fan. Mrs. Potter whipped up the best Christmas dinner Sirius had ever had. He experienced the wonder of throwing snowballs at the Carolers that were singing their way down the street. The Christmas tree wasn't as big as the one at Grimmauld Place, but the lights and the decorations were brilliant. Some of the decorations were charmed to sing and dance every time someone passed by. However, it was a real nuisance when both he and James would try to sneak into the kitchen.

It was Christmas morning when Remus and Peter came over, holding gifts in there arms. But that didn't stop Sirius from throwing himself at a laughing Remus. He then grabbed Peter in a headlock with one arm while tickling him with the other.

"Happy Christmas, Sirius. I see the house is still standing and the Potters are alive. You're behaving," he said as he walked in to the living, placing the gifts on the table.

"Speak for yourself, I always behave. What'd you get me?" smirked Sirius. He really had no shame.

"Oh well, I had planned to give you some intelligence but apparently they ran out," joked Remus, "Where's James?"

As if on cue, James came out of the next room wearing his father's robe and favorite smoking pipe. "You're king has arrived," he said before he received a smack behind the head by Mr. Potter.

"Alright, alright! Settle down. Why haven't you opened these yet? I knew I shouldn't have gotten you anything," he said as the four boys ran to grab what was theirs.

After a few blows to the head and a wrestling match later, James stood before Sirius with a small box in hand. "This is from all three us. We think you'll like it very much, Padfoot. Especially Remus," he grinned. Grinning and James don't mix, Sirius thought, Merlin, I love it when Moony blushes.

Half expecting something was going to blow up in his face, Sirius braced himself as he opened the lid. No explosion, thank Merlin. But there was something in the box. A necklace?, he thought, Why the bloody hell would I-

It was a collar. A red dog collar. With bells.

"Now we'll know where Padfoot is when he decides to wonder off!" said James as he fell to the floor in a fit of laughter. "I hear it's the latest dog fashion in Paris!"

"Yeah, you'll be the envy of all dogs in Hogsmead!" contributed Peter with a slap to his thigh.

"C'mon Sirius, it could have been worse. We could have gotten you a pink collar. Or a leash." deadpanned Remus. He was always good at that. Sirius was so getting his revenge later on.

When Mr. and Mrs. Potter came in to see what all the raucous was about, they were greeted with a mass of wrestling boys and a red dog collar neglect on the floor. Boys can be so strange, they thought.

There it goes! Hope you enjoyed it and don't hesitate to review :]
