Everybody finally managed to make it home. Lana was overexcited that Bobbie Fletcher now wanted to have her on her pit crew, waving the number that the racecar driver had given her. The siblings were happy for the little mechanic, but mostly they were just happy to be safe and sound at home. It was relatively late so they decided to head up to their rooms. Lucy however, was not exactly thrilled about her rooming situation. Just as she predicted, Lynn wouldn't stop farting.
"Guess some of those burgers really hit the spleen!" she laughed. Lucy, who had just changed into her pajamas, wrinkled her nose in disgust. She grabbed a pillow from her coffin, held her arm out, allowing Fangs to land upon it.
"Come along Fangs, let's go someplace where it doesn't smell so bad," she whispered to the bat as they walked out of the room and up to the room that Luna and Luan shared. She knocked on the door.
"Come on in!" Luan's voice answered. Lucy slowly opened the door, walked into her older sisters' room and just stood silently at the doorway while Luna in her nightgown, playing some notes on her guitar, and Luan in her pajamas was juggling two bowling pins and a rubber chicken looked at her. Seeing their melancholic sister there made them freeze.
"Well hey little dudette, what's crack-a-lackin'?" asked Luna.
"I ask you once again if I can spend the night here. My regular roommate is experiencing a flatulence problem that would awaken the dead (if only we were so lucky)," Lucy replied, Fangs still hanging on her arm, his eyes seemed to be begging for shelter as well. Luan looked at her younger sister misty-eyed. The two of them had formed an incredibly close bond in recent times after they were found to be compatible roommates and Luan had served as Lucy's mentor for staged performances.
"Lucy! Of course you can spend the night here! You don't mind sharing a bed with me, do you?" offered Luan generously.
"That will be sufficient," Lucy replied with a rare smile. She walked into the room still carrying her pillow and Fangs, but suddenly, Luna stood up and gently gripped the younger one's shoulder.
"I don't think so! She's bunking with me tonight!" exclaimed Luna. She gently picked Lucy up and placed her on the top bunk. Fangs was overexcited and gripped onto the ceiling.
"This is kind of nice," said Lucy. The lights were turned off, and Luna climbed in next to her younger sister, and gently wrapped her arms around the young goth.
"Why did you insist I bunk with you?" asked a curious Lucy. Luna bent towards the younger girl's ear.
"If I let you and Miss Prankster share a bed, there's a good chance I'll wake up covered in spiders," Luna whispered.
