Roxanne threw the tent door open as she made her way in, Cassander on her heels. Hephaestion met them before they could get to the inter room and Alexander.
They stood toe to toe, wife and lover to Alexander, eyes locked.
His words told her, in no uncertain terms, that she couldn't see her husband.
The fire in his eyes burned through her with a passion she had never witnessed before.
For one brief and very intense moment, she saw the depth of the love she was up against and longed to be on the receiving end of that passion.
