I recently got back into Soul Eater, and decided to write this short One Shot.
Her mother yelled at her not to follow the dog. She said it was a filthy stray, but she didn't listen. All she saw was a cute puppy. So she chased after it into the ally way. Little did she know this one action would change her life forever. When she got near the dog, and leaned forward to pet it, she saw a snake – yes, a snake – coming out of its mouth. Confused as to why the dog would have a snake in its mouth, the girl leaned forward. When she did, the snake turned into an arrow, and shot out of the dogs mouth, and into her own.
She woke up in a strangely dark place. She was scared and wanted her mom, but didn't know how to get to her. Then, she heard a voice. She followed it into the darkness, and eventually found a door with her name on it. Curiosity took over, and she opened the door. Standing outside of it was a woman with long blonde hair in a strange braid that hung in front of her. The woman gave her a warm smile, and asked to come in. Her mother had always told her not be be rude, so she let the woman in. When they were both in the room, the woman closed the door, and her smile went from being warm, to being cold. She eyed the girl, and began laughing. The girl was starting to get scared again, and started walking away, but not before she saw that on the door, her name was being replaced. Even more fearful than before, the girl began to run away as fast as she could. However she couldn't escape the woman's laughter no matter how far she ran.
_______
A few minutes latter, her mother walked into the ally, and saw her daughter standing still. The dog was gone, so she assumed that her daughter had scared it off, and was sad. She walked over to her child, and for the briefest moment, she thought she felt a strange coldness come over her. She dismissed it as a gust of wind, and bent down next to her daughter. A small laugh escaped her child's lips. She thought that maybe she was trying to get over the sadness from the dog running away. After a moment, her daughter seemed to return to normal, and the two continued on their way home. However, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get rid of the feeling that the person walking next to her wasn't her daughter anymore. It turns out, she was right.
Well, what did you think? Constructive Critisism welcomed.
