NEW YEAR IN THE AMAZON
"Guys, you ready for New Year?"
It was the last day of 2014, 31st December. According to the time of the Amazon, it was 2 minutes until 2015.
"YEAH!" Answered the whole flock of birds. After briefly explaining what "year" is all about, Blu finally made the Blue Spix's Macaw Tribe and the Red Macaw Tribe understand what "New Year" was all about.
"Blu, it has been almost five years since I lived with you." Jewel told Blu. Last year, they had a party held by the two singing birds under Christ the Redeemer. However, it was somehow ruined by their three kids when they learnt that Tiny was baby-sitting them instead of Rafael.
"Indeed, honey. It is like a miracle, being with the most beautiful girl in the world." Blu looked at Jewel sweetly. Jewel flushed a bit, meaning she liked the way Blu complimented her.
"It's not like a miracle. It is a miracle. I can't believe I not only found more of our kind but also found my dad after all these years! It really is a miracle."
"I'm glad you're happy, dear. Like what Rafael always tells me, Happy wife, happy life."
"Oh, Blu! You always know what to say." Jewel leaned forward for a kiss, but was interrupted by Eduardo who was not aware that she was going to kiss Blu.
"Hey! Jewel! There you are. Happy New Year!"
"Thanks Dad."
"And to you too, Blu! It's nice to have celebrations all the time. It's really joyful."
"Y..Yeah, sir. Happy New Year."
"Blu, you know you don't have to be that nervous around me. I'm your father-in-law after all."
"I..I know, but I just… I'm just still not used to have a father-in-law. I'll try my best to get used to that."
"That's the spirit, Blu!" Jewel kissed Blu on his cheek, making him blush madly. Suddenly, Tiago popped under Blu.
"Mum, Dad, it's 15 seconds until 2015 according to Dad's phone! (In case you don't know, Blu brought with him a smart phone to the Amazon as seen in the "Silence Your Cellphones and Use CineNidel!" promo)" The others had already started the countdown.
"15 seconds left ALREADY? Oh, oh, let's start the countdown already!" exclaimed Blu.

"5!"
Everyone was very excited.

Their guts filled with excitement.

Tightened their eyes…

FINALLY!
"HAPPY NEW YEAR!"
Everyone screamed on their top voice, except for the two lovebirds. They just locked beaks passionately. After a good whole ten seconds, they pulled away a bit for oxygen.
"Happy New Year, Jewel. I love you."
"Happy New Year, Blu. I love you too."
"PARTY TIME!" Screamed Nico and Pedro at the same time.

What's up, guys? It's me, Bosco/WM0135 again. HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you guys! I know it's still 2014 in Brazil, but it's already 2015 in Hong Kong, and it's 3 am now… (I'm not the kind of people who stay up all night) Sorry for not uploading this Fanfic at 00:00 in Manaus.
