Oh My Gaga!
By imafeckingstarr
Summary: Blaine is planning a surprise for Kurt's eighteenth birthday, something to make his day extra special… but what? Lots and lots of Klainebows – That, dear readers, is my warning.
A/N: Klaine is one of my favourite pairings in Glee. I absolutely adore Blaine's character (not because it's Darren Criss or anything…) wouldn't he be a perfect best friend? This is actually, my first ever Glee fic, so be nice, okay? I hope you like it!
The Birthday Surprise
Kurt awoke to the sound of his alarm clock ringing, the song Defying Gravity resonating through his room. Smiling, stretching and sitting up, Kurt leapt out of his bed and danced around, shimmying dramatically. Bits of glitter were strewn around the carpet, left over from his student president poster making – he was, as Brit said, a unicorn. And today, this unicorn was going to have the best day of his life.
"Kurt, can you turn it down a little bit? Some of us are trying to sleep." Finn yelled.
Kurt laughed as he turned the volume down, muttering how Finn had no appreciation for the arts. Nothing could ruin his mood, and absolutely nothing would spoil his day.
Today was his eighteenth; could you blame him for being ecstatic? Finally, he would no-longer be considered a child. His phone vibrated, and Kurt dived across his bed to grab a hold of it, as if it were a bomb ready to explode.
"Hello?" Kurt breathed as he flipped open his phone.
"Hey Kurt, happy birthday," Mercedes yelled, causing Kurt to move his phone away from his ear.
"Thanks Mercedes, couldn't you have saved the birthday wishes until I was at school or something?"
"Hell no, today is your special day Kurt and nothing is going to stop me from wishing my best friend a very happy birthday!" and she put the phone down.
Kurt shook his head, laughing lightly, he decided he was going to be extravagant… by wearing his favourite outfit, and his favourite light blue scarf he handmade himself.
Today couldn't get any better.
"Kurt!" Rachel squealed as she ran into the music room, embracing Kurt in a massive hug, "Happy birthday," she beamed, thrusting a sparkly parcel in his hands.
"Happy birthday Kurt," Finn laughed, snaking his arm around his girlfriend's waist, handing Kurt his present too, "I didn't want to give it you at home. I wanted to see your reaction here, in front of all your friends,"
"Thanks Finn, I'm terrified to open my present," Kurt grinned, joking with his half-brother, nudging him playfully in the ribs.
"There's nothing to be scared of,"
"Sure there is, once he's seen how fabulous my present is compared to everyone else's," Blaine Anderson smirked, casually leaning against the doorframe.
"Blaine! What're you doing here?" Kurt asked, delighted to see his boyfriend so early in the day.
"Oh, didn't I tell you? My bad, I transferred here. McKinley is my new school. Happy birthday," Blaine smiled, and Kurt ran into Blaine's arms.
"Oh my Gaga, really, you've moved here? This isn't because of me, is it? Because I could never live with myself knowing that I've made you move from Dalton because I wanted you here, with me,"
"No Kurt, it isn't because of you, I moved here because I wanted too." Blaine hugged the older boy tighter.
"Oh Blaine, that's so sweet, really romantic,"
"Yeah it is," Rachel and Tina cooed, sighing dreamily.
"Happy birthday Kurt," Blaine whispered, handing him a package, kissing him lightly on the lips.
The older boy smiled at him, his eyes lighting up with adoration. This, Kurt thought, has to be one of the best birthday's yet.
Please tell me what you think. I wanted it to be kind of cute, y'know? Ah, whatever.
I hope you enjoyed it!
