"Natsuuuuu...oi wake up!" the blonde girl poked at her lover's face. To be honest, Natsu was adorable when he was asleep but they needed to get up since it was almost new years day!

"What's wrong Lucy, wucy?" he mumbled.

"Lucy, wucy nothing! We need to get ready for the countdown on TV! It's..." She looked at their bedside table in a hurry and to her inconvenience it was earlier than expected.

"There's only 3 minutes! Come on my little dragon we need to get up. You know how much I wanted to kiss you on new years day..." the celestial mage looked away only to blush even more when Natsu sat up and pulled her onto his lap.

"So why don't we celebrate it here? Let's watch the countdown here, Lucy. I wanna start the year with a kiss too." He grinned at her when she nodded and picked up the remote to turn it to BBC 1.

" We're here in this large crowd of people, children to pensioners and are about to witness the countdown to 2015. I hope you viewers are ready because the countdown...has started!"

"10, 9,8,7..." Lucy said in anticipation, watching the screen and smiling her face off.

"...6,5,4,3..." the dragon slayer continued grinning at his beloved blonde, pushing her hair away from her face, pulling her chin towards his.

"...2...1..." They finished in unison as a whole load of noise erupted from the fireworks outside and from the TV, they pressed their lips together lovingly and then both melted into a warm embrace.

When they broke apart from the sweet kiss, brown orbs gazed into black, and they smiled at their lover still hugging each other.

"Yay! This means we'll be together this year!" Natsu laughed happily, a toothy grin spreading across his face.

"Uhum! And, I know it'll be because we did what I said we should have done. Kiss in new years!"

"Hmmmm...Nope! I think it's because I love you more than the world itself and that I wouldn't ever let you go regardless."

"Hahaha! Natsu, to say something so romantic and not get embarrassed is just a skill. And yeah...I love you too..." Lucy pushed her silky blonde bangs out of her face and then kissed her little dragon on the cheek causing him to blush profusely.

"W-What was that for?" he stumbled, damn. Who knew such a simple action of love could make him feel so warm inside. He really adored her.

"It was because I want you to relax and go back to sleep with me." Lucy collapsed onto the bed looking up at Natsu with a look that begged for him to lay back down.

"Of course, your the one who woke me up anyways..."

"That was because-"

"Yeah, I know."

"Well, good...morning?"

"My beloved Lucy, wucy...please...stop making me think...it hurts when you say something as confusing as that this early in the...morning? I don't know! Look what you did! Now I'm not sure whether it's its late night or early morning!"

He wrapped the orange tinted quilt over them both and lay down, placing his warm hands on her slim waist as she lent into his neck.

"Oh, well, it's 00:02am so its early morning?" she replied in question lifting her head slightly to look at the alarm clock.

"...let's just go with that. Good morning my little celestial mage."

"Good morning, my little dragon slayer." And with that she snuggled into his naked neck, since his scarf was absent. Reassured that they would at least have 2015 together.
