Stood Up

A young singer was in his room, lying on his bed with his face buried in a pillow. His girlfriend had stood him up that evening after he waited three hours for her to show up, only to find out that she already had other plans. He laid there, crying softly.

A gentle knock broke the silence, followed by a worried voice. "Billa? Are you okay?" Tom asked quietly.

The raven haired teen just shook his head, burying his face deeper into the pillow.

"Can I come in?" The guitarist asked.

"J-Ja." Bill stuttered, wiping away his tears hurriedly.

Tom opened the door silently and walked in, sitting next to the younger male on the bed. He brushed back ebony locks out of his twin's face, frowning once he saw the tears in the singer's honey brown eyes.

"What's wrong, Billa?"

"My girlfriend stood me up." The younger twin mumbled.

The guitarist frowned, wiping away the other male's tears. "Why'd she do that?"

"She had other plans."

The cornrowed teen sighed quietly; frowning as Bill started to cry again. He wrapped his arms around the singer, pulling him into a hug. He held the younger male until Bill stopped crying. Bill was the first to pull away, wiping the tears off his face.

"How about we hang out tomorrow night? Just you and me." Tom asked.

"You promise?" The singer mumbled hopefully.

"Of course, Billa."

Bill nodded, smiling a little.

"Where are you going? I thought you said we were going to hang out tonight." Bill said, looking at his twin who was walking out the door of their home.

"Yeah, well sorry, I have plans." Tom mumbled, clearly annoyed, and walked out.

Bill just stood there, tears welling up in eyes, not believing that his twin just stood him up for a fling.

Tom sighed, walking into his house, tired. All the girl did was talk then lugged him around for shopping so he could carry everything. "That's one thing I'm never doing again." He mumbled.

The guitarist frowned a little, feeling guilty for leaving his baby brother when he promised they would hang out. He sighed again, the night wasn't over yet, maybe he could still salvage it. He walked over to the couch and saw his twin asleep and sprawled out over the cushions, hair down and without any products in it, makeup stains running down his cheeks. He frowned.

"Billa?" He asked quietly.

The singer opened his eyes and saw his twin's worried face. "Don't you have somewhere to be? I know how much you hate hanging out with me." He mumbled spitefully, hurt clear in his voice.

"I'm so sorry, Billa." Tom said, kneeling down and brushing his twin's bangs out of his eyes. "Forgive me?" He asked softly.

The other teen looked up at him, glaring at his twin a little. He sighed quietly and looked away, a small frown appearing on his lips. "You're lucky you're my twin." He mumbled.

The guitarist sighed and sat down next to his twin once the other male sat up. The singer cuddled into his twin's chest, wiping away a few stray tears. Tom wrapped his arms around the younger teen, kissing his forehead.

"You sure you aren't mad?" He asked.

Bill nodded, burying his face in the niche of the cornrowed teen's neck. "Just don't do it again." He mumbled tiredly.

Tom looked at his phone for the time. "It's eleven at night. You waited for me to come back the whole day?" He asked.

The ebony haired teen nodded.

The older twin frowned, feeling horrible for what he did to the singer. "You should sleep, Billa." He said softly.

Bill sighed quietly, falling asleep after a few moments. Tom looked down at him and smiled.

'Maybe the night wasn't that bad after all.' He thought, slowly falling asleep himself.
