"Beca! Beca, stop!" Aubrey was dragging her back from Jesse's condo doorstep.
"Let. Go." Beca growled ripping her arm out of Aubrey's grip.
"Damn it, Beca!" Aubrey screamed.
Hearing the commotion Jesse opened his front door and was shocked to see Beca and Aubrey arguing in front of him, even more shocked when Beca threw a fat stack of papers at his feet and said, "Have a nice life, asshole." And even more shocked when she threw her wedding ring at his head.
"BECA WAIT!" He screamed helplessly, rubbing the side of his head.
Beca walked away ignoring him and Aubrey gave him a hug and said, "I'm sorry, I tried to stop her. She still loves you. Just remember that, okay?"
He slowly nodded.
She got in her car and Aubrey followed in a separate car.
"What the hell, Beca?!" Aubrey yelled after following to her house.
Beca wasn't listening. Both her ring finger and her heart felt bare. Why did she do that? Why?!
She knew why.
"So you don't want kids?" Beca asked surprised.
"Not yet. We're only twenty-nine."
"Yes, Jesse, we're twenty-nine. Almost thirty. It's about time we grew up, don't you think?" She argued.
"No. Well, yes. We're grown up but I don't want to share you yet." He said trying to lift her on his lap.
She pushed him away.
"So, you don't want children at twenty-nine? When do you want kid's Jesse?!" She yelled.
"Not for a while!" He shouted back.
"So I'm supposed to wait for you to grow up?!" She screamed. She was ready to pull her hair out.
"I married you wasn't that enough?!"
"No, Jesse! It wasn't! I want a family!" She was near tears.
"I don't! Not yet!"
"I always thought you were the kind of guy who wanted kids!"
"I DON'T WANT THEM YET!" He boomed, frustrated she wasn't understanding his point.
"I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU WANT!" SHE SCREAMED.
She was sure the neighbors could hear. She was sure the walls were rattling. She was infuriated. And she wasn't done screaming yet.
"OH YOU DON'T?!" He screamed.
"NO!"
"YOU'RE A BITCH!"
"YOU'RE A FUCKER!"
"I HATE YOU!"
"I HATE YOU!"
"GOOD!"
"SO IF I WAS PREGNANT YOU WOULD LEAVE?!"
"YES! I THINK I WOULD."
"THEN LEAVE!"
He faulted. "What?"
"LEAVE!" She screamed. Tears were pouring down her face. She was shutting down.
"Beca, please!" He begged. He was crying, too, now.
"GET OUT! GET OUT, GET OUT, GET OUT!" She was banging on his chest and she pushed him out the door and collapsed on the floor in a sobbing heap.
"I'm sorry, Bec. You know he didn't mean it."
"He did."
"Beca you know he didn't."
The doorbell rang.
"I'm a mess, can you get that, Bree."
"I think you should."
"Fine." She wiped her eyes and got up to answer it.
Jesse stood there with two baskets; one full of baby supplies; one filled with Beca's favorite things.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I'd never leave you. You're the one thing I look forward to after work. You're the love of my life, and that baby means the world to me. I will love you and our little girl or boy forever."
"Jesse, you destroyed me."
"You destroyed me, too! I wanted to kill myself at the thought of losing you!"
"Jesse," Her eyes flooded with tears, "I love you."
"I love you, too."
He kissed her with passion.
"Beca Marie Mitchell, will you re-marry me."
She wrapped her arms around him.
"Of course."
