A/N: Hi again lovely Planeteers! This will be a story featuring a multitude of colors… It won't have regular updates until… well it'll never have regular updates… But I'm near convinced no one likes this paring so no one will probably care. Anyhow If you have a tumblr you should follow Captainplanethesourhero. Fun screenshots and more ;) Also SOMEONE has to recognize Cap.'s name… SOMEONE!
Gold.
Captain planet had come across Gaia in the crystal chamber gripping the stones on the front of the planet vision, hunched, pale, and alone. He stood in the doorway and watched on as the spirit he'd fall in love with over the years slowly began to shake and… Cry? Sympathetic instincts took over him and he walked over to her. When he placed a hand on her shoulder Gaia was shocked and attempted to right herself but with puffy eyes and a flushed face she betrayed the pretense she tried so desperately to uphold.
"Oh! Captain Planet, I, Um –" he could see tears forming in her eyes again. Without a word he hugged her close to him. The tender gesture broke the walls the Earth spirit had attempted to put up. She broke down in sobs, Crying until she was too drained to continue. Cap. tipped her chin upwards to look in the lavender eyes that made his heart melt.
"Would you like to talk?"
She nodded and steered him toward her cot. He worked hard to keep any thoughts of what he truly wanted out of his mind. Once they were settled he stroked his thumb across her cheek and later gentle kiss on her nose.
She sighed and settled her head on his chest. He waited patiently for her to talk completely content to have her in his arms.
"My brother died today"
The elemental was shocked. He didn't know spirits could die in the first place, much less one he would ever hear of, he didn't even know Gaia had a brother! He took her hand and encouraged her to continue, he would ask questions when the pretty spirit was in a stable frame of mind. She snuggled closer.
"Spirits die in two ways," looks like he was going to get a few answers after all. At least it would help to help console Gaia. "We are destroyed by those closest to us."An uncomfortable pause allowed him to think that if he fit the requirement he would never hurt her. Ever.
"Or we can kill ourselves." He felt tears when his chest while she said this. He assumed it was the latter of the two options.
"Do how... Or why?" The superhero nearly tripped over his words there but did nothing to correct it. How could he? He simply let her answer, hoping she didn't take it badly.
"He... Here move the gold band around his head." She said. Captain planet didn't quite understand but assumed that the band was connected to lives of spirits somehow.
"There is one good thing though."
"Hum?"
Gaia hesitated a little. "We find out a part of our future on the headband. Each band is crafted by a time spirit, well the time spirit. Kronos gives us these before we learn how to read... Only others can see what is written." She paused and gave a rueful smile. "At least he got the pleasure of knowing that."
Tenderly he moved hair away from her forehead. A single word was etched elegantly into an intricate pattern.
"Fiyero"
She barely noticed his surprise and continue to speak "You can't tell me what it says... I..." At that point Couldn't hear her anymore. Fiyero. That was his name... He was in her future!
"– Well, unless it involves you."
"It... It says Fiyero".
He didn't give her time to react before he captured her lips and a rough kiss. She surrendered immediately like she had wanted this forever... Perhaps she had.
The spirit and the culmination of the elements finally collided in a crash with love and desire.
Somewhere, a sad and Kronos held the band of the deceased spirit but as he'd heard the joyous cries of the two he had managed to bring together the weight of the Golden band seemed less significant in his hands.
