Tikaani was a waterbender from the Southern Water Tribe... A brave,beautiful,headstrong,and confident brown-haired, bright blue-eyed girl... She was a water bending prodigee..Excelling at all of her exercises, aceing all her bending exams... She was her happiest though, when she was with her twin brother,Cikuq. Cikuq looked very similar to Takaani, but the only difference was that instead of having his parents and Takaani's dark brown hair, he was raven-haired...but he had those beautiful bright blue Water-Tribe eyes... But the two of them were always inseparable ...The only time they left each other's sides were to go to school. Cikuq was a non-bender, so when Tikaani went of to train, Cikuq would stay home and would help his dad hunt, or help his mom cook and clean. I mean it wasn't as cool as being a bender, but Cikuq enjoyed it! He did sometimes get rather jealous, seeing how great his sister was...he sometimes got insecure.. he would think he was nothing special, that he was just another non-bender...another useless teenager...when he did think that though..Takaani knew her brother, and could tell when he need some cheering up.
One time as Takaani was walking to her igloo after her training, she couldn't help but notice Cikuq tending to their polar bear dog,Nanuq. That's strange...it was her turn to tend to Nanuq though...She dropped her gear right there and run up to her brother. She gasped slightly when she saw the tears in his eyes. "Oh...Cikuq..what happened?!" She asked frantically, but calmed down and talked quieter when her brother flinched at her tone. She didn't mean to frighten him...She smiled widely at her brother before giving him a polar bear hug.( A Water Tribe version of a bear hug.)"Come on...let's go inside ok? Mom is making dinner right now.." She inhaled deeply. " Yep...that's moms cooking alright! I can smell it now!" Cikuq looked at her sister, than back at Nanuq with a worried expression. Takaani noticed the look on his face. "Oh..don't worry she will be fine..It's not supposed to be that cold tonight..besides, she's part polar bear...they live in the cold!" Cikuq relaxed and looked at his sister, and nodded as he wiped his eyes. "Ok... Now that you mention it, I can smell mom's cooking...wonder what she' making tonight..." The two water tribe siblings discussed their mother's cooking habits, and bickered back and forth about which dish was the best on the way back to their igloo. Cikuq's sadness had gone away and he was laughing and in high spirits when they got home. Before they went inside, Cikuq turned to his sister. "Thank you...You always give the best pick-me-ups, you know that?" Takaani glanced sideways at him, and smiled before patting him on the head. " Yes..I am aware...but thanks for reminding me!" But as the siblings walked into their surprisingly warm igloo, the crowned Fire Nation prince,Ryuu, was walking out of his mansion in the Fire Nation capital...
