Chapter 1:Possible Accidents from HP GOF; the First Task
Harry dived sharply, keeping an eye out for the Horntail`s tail as he made a grab for the egg. Just as he was about to pick it up, his shoulder flared in pain and his fingers just slid across the top of the egg; opening the as yet unseen latch open.
As Harry swerved to avoid being clubbed across the arena, the egg opened up and let loose a wail that stopped everyone in their tracks; the crowd, the judges, even the dragon paused in its pursuit of the dark furred annoyance to check her nest for another intruder.
Blinking dumbly, Harry wondered out loud "Merlin's saggy balls! What is that Noise?!" Quickly recovering; he swooped down and picked the egg up while the nesting mother was still surprised, closing the screeching contraption as he flew for the exit.
Later: after the Task
When Harry finally got the chance to ask Ludo Bagman what the awful noise was supposed to have to do with the Tournament, his irritatingly cryptic reply was simply, "It is your Clue for the next Task, Mr Potter." 'Yeah' Harry thought sarcasticaly , 'That will be as much fun as stealing from a nesting dragon' "I'm doomed" he muttered to himself.
