Snow looked particularly beautiful on red hair.
They were standing next to the icy river, watching holiday lights refract and dance across the snow-specked surface, talking about rebuilding what was left of Fairy Tail, when he unconsciously reached up and brushed his hand across her face.
Of course, when she jumped and blushed a hue usually associated with the strawberry, he hastily pulled away, murmuring something about how she had a smudge of dirt on her face.
Erza, relaxing, smirked and nestled closer to him, this time making HIM jump and flush. "Liar." She whispered tenderly, in a voice that elicited a sigh from his lips.
And yes, the wizards of Fairy Tail were utterly clueless when it came to very hard-to-understand-concepts such as "privacy", so Jellal and Erza both didn't bat an eye when a muffled "You owe me 1,000 Jewel now, Gray!" floated out behind them.
"My lady?" Jellal nodded his head in their direction. "Shall we?"
Erza smiled wide, drawing a large broadsword out of thin air with a dramatic flourish. "Of course, kind sir."
Later, when Porlyusica found the most feared and powerful wizards in the country groaning in her infirmary with several Erza-sized bruises on their temples (with several Jellal-shaped ones as well), the older woman simply shook her head and set to work.
"This is what happens when you youngsters don't have enough to do." She commented dryly as Natsu whimpered in pain under her ministrations.
Surreptitiously she gave the pink-haired boy 1,000 Jewel.
