"Becca! Wake up lazy bones! The guys are waiting for us!" My best friend Leah yelled up the stairs.
Hi, I'm Becca. I have long straight brown hair with large hazel eyes. I'm kinda pale and curvy with a whopping height of 5'5". And I have braces. I live here in La Push with my dad and my brother, Kaden. We moved here a while back to get away from the city and all the drama my mom caused, but anyways back to the present.
I stood in front of my mirror, checking my hair and makeup, attempting to make myself look good before Leah dragged me out of my room.
Finally I was satisfied, so I bounded down the stairs to stand in front of Leah.
"I know you want to impress him, but could you try doing it in a more timely manner?" she hissed, trying her hardest to give me a death glare. I just stared at her, and bust out laughing.
"Come on." I said, grabbing her arm and walking out the door. We walked down to the beach, where the guys were waiting. They were standing together and none of them were wearing shirts, as usual.
"I see you all still don't know how to do laundry." I stated sarcastically.
"Oh please, Becca. You know you like it." My other best friend, Embry said.
"You wish, Embry." I said, laughing along with him.
"Alright enough flirting already! Let's go." Jacob said, giving Embry an annoyed look.
He and Sam took the lead, and everyone else followed behind. I walked beside Embry and Leah, watching the back of Jakes head.
"What's his problem? I asked, trying to understand his actions.
"I don't have a problem Becca!" I heard him call.
"Damn werewolf hearing!" I cursed quietly. I heard him chuckle. I suddenly got an idea, an evil one. I leaned over and whispered in Embry's ear, explaining the idea. He nodded and smirked down at me.
I suddenly burst into a fit of giggles and hung on Embry's arm.
"You are so funny!" I said, glancing at Jake out of the corner of my eye to see his reaction. I saw him immediately stiffen and turn to glare at Embry.
Embry saw this too and quickly wrapped his arm around my waist.
"Trust me I know." He said, winking at me.
Suddenly his arm was ripped off me and I saw a furious Jake standing in front of us. His eyes were alight with fire and he looked really deadly. I could tell we had gone to far.
I quickly put my hand on his arm, looking up at him with a gentle expression.
"Jake it was just a joke to get you angry. I promise there is nothing going on here. He's just a friend." I said quietly watching his eyes.
Without a word, Jake swept me up and threw me over his shoulder and took off running.
"Jake put me down! I can walk!" I hollered.
He just ignored me and kept running. When we finally stopped, we were standing in the middle of the forest.
He sat me down gently and looked down at me. I could see the hurt still evident in his eyes, even though he was trying to hide it.
"Is there really nothing going on between you and Embry?" he asked quietly, staring at me intently.
"No Jake, there is nothing going on. He's just a friend, and nothing like the guy I have my heart set on." I said the last part quietly.
"And who exactly do you have your heart set on?" he asked his face darkening.
"A sweet guy with kind brown eyes. A guy that loves to work on cars and doesn't mind when I babble. A guy who looks at me like I'm the most beautiful girl ever. The guy who gave his heart to a leech lover!" I yelled the last part, feeling the tears behind my eyes.
"If you think he's given his heart to Bella, you must be blind. He loves a girl who is hyper and loves to babble. The most beautiful girl ever. The girl standing in front of him." He said, slowly leaning down.
"The girl he's imprinted on." He whispered, before capturing my lips in a sweet kiss.
"Sounds good to me." I mumbled against his lips.
