"So, sleep well, Saya..." Kai's voice trailed off as tears rolled down his cheeks.
"Hurry up you guys!! What is taking so long?" Kai asked as he prepared the bentos.
"We're coming!!" said a voice.
"Coming, coming!!"
"Alright then, get in the car and we are off." said Kai. He was already outside of the Omoro waiting beside the car as the twins came out.
"What are we having today??" said Yuri, one of the twins, as she stepped into the car.
"Neh-neh, what are we having??" said Yuki, following her sister.
"Your favorites." responded Kai as he smiles.
As they drove out the road, Kai took the road where he knew the twins will love. The road was located beside the ocean. The ocean, that Saya had loved.
It has been 5 years since Saya was in hibernation. Kai was having a flashback when he heard the twins saying "Look, Kai! The ocean is so beautiful." Kai looked out the window. It was indeed an amazing sight as the morning sun shone onto the ocean water. Saya... You'll love the ocean even more when you emerge from your hibernation...
The place where the family's grave was located came into sight after a 15-minute drive. The sight of it had never changed since the last 5 years. It was still surrounded with cherry blossoms.
"Kai, piggyback!" said Yuki, as they went up the stairs.
"Kai, piggyback!" said Yuri, following her sister.
"Come on you guys, call me 'Dad' for once," said Kai.
"Alright, Kai!" both of the twins said teasingly.
"You're terrible," said Kai with disappointment in his voice.
The twins greeted their aunt as they reach the top. Kai was looking for some kind of sign. It's been 5 years since HE disappeared. And there it was.
"He... did come." Lying on the floor where Saya slept was a pink rose tied in a blue ribbon.
"There's a rose here with a blue ribbon," said Yuki curiously.
"Neh-neh..." Yuri came beside her sister to see what Yuki was talking about.
"Don't touch it. It's for your aunt. Anyway, come and have your bento." said Kai in a rather ordering manner.
"Bento! Bento!" exclaimed the twins as they followed Kai to a small table near the family's grave.
From afar, Hagi was watching over them. He looked at the grave where Saya slept and whispered to himself, "Saya... I will always be here for you. No matter how long it takes, I will be waiting patiently. So, Saya... Don't worry and sleep well." He looked over to Kai and the twins and said softly, "Kai, thank you..."
As a gentle breeze flown by, Kai looked up and saw the beautiful sight of the cheery blossoms.
... Hagi?? Nah... It can't be... I must be hearing things... Kai turned back to his bento, deep down in his heart; he knew that Hagi was nearby watching over his little sister. After all, he had loved her from the very beginning.
I will always love you Saya. Sleep well, until the day we meet again...
