Disclaimer: I do not own Trigun. If I did, there would be stories involving Vash naked.

After two years I'm back! The four people still on my author's alert list must be very happy. But unfortunately, if you were hoping for a Knives/Meryl fic, of which I am most EXTREMELY fond, or a start of a sequel to a little KMV fiction I wrote called A Glimpse of Eden, you may be a bit disappointed.

But first to get myself back into the fray of writing Trigun fanfiction I churned out this dramble (my own wording, a drabble that goes too long and begins to ramble, hence 'dramble').

Hope you enjoy enough to review.

She Is

Sometimes he has nightmares.

Horrors from the past rise up to plague his dreams,

returning like a wraith to haunt and to beckon him to despair,

and destroy his hope for the future.

But then she kisses him again and chases away the demons with a gentle touch.

- - -

She is his Peace.

- - -

Sometimes the old guilt returns.

That he doesn't deserve so much when he's done so little,

failed so many.

People on the street pass by at a wide berth, eyes wary, whispers made,

rumors of his recent deeds, his past faults.

But then she kisses him again and sends him out to play with the children.

- - -

She is his Absolution.

- - -

Sometimes he is ashamed.

Looking into their child's eyes and seeing the reflection of his own,

he fears his blood is tainted,

that his son is made less perfect.

But then she kisses him again and places the sleeping boy in his arms.

- - -

She is his Hope.

- - -

Sometimes he is unsure of himself.

Of his capabilities as a mentor,

a friend,

a father,

or a lover.

Eating away like a parasite,

a voice of doubt whispers to run again.

He is but a failure, after all.

They would be safer with him gone.

But then she kisses him again and lectures him with a soft smile.

- - -

She is his Rock.

- - -

Sometimes he feels trapped,

buried and choking under the weight of newfound responsibilities.

The old lonewolf still clings to him,

and he yearns to see the endless horizon stretched before him.

But then she kisses him again and sends him on an errand,

trusting in him to return once again.

- - -

She is his Faith.

- - -

Many call him a hero, savior of the planet, select few friend.

But without her he is nothing,

forever lost and adrift.

So he takes her in his arms as she kisses him again

Because she is Meryl Stryfe

And She is his Everything.
