GRIM COMES TO TOWN

Chapter 1: The Gym

Just to let you know,

Italic-means that is a thought, and not being said.

Please tell me what you think of this 1st chapter.

I just wanted to get the introduction out so far!

Enjoy!

Now to begin….

It was a bright, sunny, warm spring day at Casper High School. Sam, Tucker, and Danny were shoving the day's homework into their book bags. Like everybody (normal that is…) at the end of the school day, they were ready to get home. It was then that Mr. Lancer stopped them in the halls. He had a very stern look upon his face. They all knew that something had happened and that they were going to probably be blamed for it.

"Now, I don't know who exactly did this, but I have a pretty good idea." barked Mr. Lancer. "Follow me."

"What do you think has happened?" asked Sam quietly.

"I don't know, but whatever it is, it has to be bad because I haven't seen Lancer that upset about something for a while." answered Danny quickly.

"Aw, man! I was going to go eat dinner with my Mom right after school!" Tucker said upsettingly. Danny and Sam both gave him a funny look. "I mean, uhh…." Danny and Sam both smiled.

As they approached the gymnasium, they noticed that there were faint, dark, scruffy marks down the hallway, like someone was being dragged in the gym.

Maybe that's just from earlier today…thought Danny passively.

"Okay. Now I want to know anything you know about this Mr. Fenton, Mr. Foley, and Miss

Manson. I need answers."

Mr. Lancer opened the gym door. There, in dark maroon letters, was the words "Grim is back!" on the north side of the gym's walls. There were no traces of any struggles or any traces of that fresh, wet bloody-looking paint?

"Mr. Lancer, we know nothing about this! Why would you even think we knew anything about it!" exclaimed Sam.

"Well, let's just say I have my suspicions, Miss Manson. You all have absolutely no clue what-so-ever? And you're sure?"

"YES!" they all yelled at once in an aggravated tone.

"We're sure we don't know anything about it, Sir. If we did, we'd be sure to tell you."

said Danny

"You're free to go home." said Mr. Lancer.

The befuddled group of three didn't say another word to each other until they got outside of the school building. Even then they hesitated to talk to one another. Tucker spoke up first.

"Who would write that on the gym wall? It wasn't there when I left sixth period today!"

"I don't know." replied Danny.

"And why did Mr. Lancer think we had something to do with it!" asked Tucker excitedly.

"Well, for one thing, we always seem to be the ones responsible for the weird things that go on around here." Sam added without a hesitation.

"True….True." Danny and Tucker replied.

"Do you really think the Grim is back into this town? I mean, you're ghost breath would of gave you a sign of that right? Right?" asked Sam.

"I would think so…..but there's still a chance that it couldn't of." slowly replied Danny.
