(First of all, this is a remake of a story I submitted a long time ago and created fairly long before that. It will be longer and have a bit more depth. )

It was two years after my human Ash and I had won at Pokémon League. Things were going well for both of us as well as for our friends. However, in a single day, something went very wrong. After that, our lives were turned upside down. I guess you wanna know what happened huh? Well I'll tell you. Since there will be humans in the audience, I will dub the conversations that us Pokémon have.

It started out like a normal day. Ash and I were going to visit Silph Company in Saffron. Tracey and Marill were going to meet us at the entrance. We had already gotten our free passes. We needed them now that Team Rocket had invaded two years ago. Although Team Rocket would probably not invade the place again, Ash took 2 of our allies, Bulbasaur and Espeon with him.

When we arrived in Saffron, we noticed that Tracey had some extra Pokémon with him too. He had Snorlax and Charizard in addition to Marill. We went in the building.

Ash said, "Man, I've forgotten how many floors there were".

Tracey replied, "Why don't we just use the Teleport pads?"

When we had used those infernal things last time, I got very dizzy and had to sit out for the remainder of the battle against the Rockets.

"If you take me on those things, I'll zap you!"

Tracey didn't like the sound of that. "Ack! Never mind."

I smiled in satisfaction.

After we got done touring Silph Company, we went to Celadon to do some gambling. A Meowth gave me some coins, so that I could join the fun. I won a TM for myself, but Ash and Tracey didn't win anything. They hadn't watched the reels closely enough. Of course, if I hadn't tried so hard, I wouldn't have gotten so dizzy. I lost my lunch on Tracey's sneaker.

"Aw, man.", Tracey said in disgust.

"Sorry", I said.

It was getting late, so we started to head home. Ash suggested that we take a detour through Viridian Forest. Since that was the place where I was born, I didn't see any harm in it. When we were halfway out of the forest, we were ambushed—by Giovanni. Gio had that usual smirk on his face and he got a Poké Ball out of his pocket. He threw it right at Tracey. It hit him and then a female Nidoran came out.

Then, Giovanni gave the orders: "Nidoran, Horn Attack!"

Those words kept echoing in my head. The female Nidoran rarely used her horn, but when she did…the poison in there was very deadly. Marill tried to block the hit, but it was too late, the horn had already jabbed into Tracey. Tracey immediately collapsed and the color of his skin began to change. Giovanni just laughed at the scene and teleported with his Kadabra.

Ash was absolutely horrified and I was too stunned to move.

"He seems to have a very high fever", Ash said. He pulled out his Pokédex and looked at the entry for Nidoran.

Although Pokémon can be cured with an antidote if they're attended to quickly enough, there is nothing that can be done for a human who gets jabbed by the horn".

Tracey said, "Ash, take care of my Pokémon for me."

He closed his eyes and didn't move after that. Ash was still for a moment, and then he took Tracey's Pokémon and headed for Mt. Silver.
