I Prayed
It's been a long road and there's still work to do.
Life has been rough.
I'm battered and bruised.
My body is weak.
As I walk through this world.
I pray 'Lord help me.
I cannot go on.'
Then a voice out of Heav'n.
'I hear you my child.
I'm holding you up.
And you'll never fall.
I love you and always will.'
I stand in the night.
My Lord by me side.
My body is weak.
But He is so strong.
I walk through this world.
But I'm not alone.
My Lord by my side.
He loves me I know.
He is my light.
The guide of my life.
And He will never leave me.
I once prayed for help.
Today it's the same.
I talk with my Lord.
I walk with my Lord.
And He shall forever keep me.
