"Ma...Mamoru-san..." the girls whispers were the only audible sound in the warehouse. Silence took over everybody else, no one could say a word. Jesus and Aegis were standing near by, panting from what just took place, their own bodies blooded and bruised. Igawa stares blankly, not able to take everything in just yet. Haruka's sobs broke the silence once more.
"Mamoru-san... get up... please... get up and fight," her voice getting gradually louder, in hopes that the blind swordsman could hear her. Haruka's struggled to get free from her restraints, still hanging from the rafters.
"MAMORU-SAN YOU CAN'T DIE... DONT LEAVE ME," Haruka screamed out, tears rolling down her face. Her tone of voice was shrill, she was terrified at what might have been reality.
The three men sitting in office room over looking the warehouse saw the whole thing.
"Let her down," the head man said, and not a second sooner her restraints came apart and she started falling from the ceiling. Jesus, standing near by, ran over to catch the young girl. As soon as she fell into his arms she immediately struggled out of them and stumbled clumsily over to where the swordsman was laying.
She knelt down next to him and started to reach her hands out to touch him and stopped mid way. He had fallen sprawled out on his stomach, his broken sword still being gripped ever so lightly. His hair was covering the top half of his face, she brushed some of it away and set her hands at her sides. It then hit her realizing something was very wrong.
She noticed the pool of blood around them coming from his torso, and lifted her hands up turning them so she could see her palms, covered in his blood. She gasped, and started crying once more, gripping his jacket and turning him over, seeing the bullet wounds in his chest. She had no idea whether he was alive or not, nor if he was breathing at all; it was so labored she couldn't tell.
"Mamoru-san... please wake up... its too soon... I'm not ready for this. You can't die now..." She whispered to him, placing her hands on either side of his face. Her sobbing continued as she leaned over and rested her forehead against his, holding onto that last bit of hope that he could still be alive.
