A/N; Okay, It's me again! This is just a random one shot, instead of Pete kissing Addison, it's Derek, who chased her all the way to LA ;) Hope you like it!

Addison sat on the stairwell, letting herself cry the tears that have been struggling to come out for months. She shed tears for her broken relationship with Mark, her fling with Alex, her aborted baby, and for the baby she knew she could never have. But most of all, she cried for her broken marriage, for Derek. She cried her insecurities, her emotions bubbling out to the surface, finally setting herself free from the months of pain and heartbreak.

Above her, a door slammed, and she felt someone's presence above her, leaning on the railing. She didn't bother looking up, she stared at the floor, tears silently rolling down her face. Footsteps echoed down the stairs, and Addison slightly stiffened, protectively wrapping her arms around herself.

"Adds.."

Her breath caught in her throat as she recognised the voice, the same husky, warm dreamy tone of voice she had known and loved for all these years. She slowly drifted her gaze up, meeting his eyes.

"Derek"

Addison didn't want to believe it was him, he was supposed to be in Seattle, not here, in the stairwell in Los Angeles. She shakily stood up, leaning against the railing.

"I can't... I have to go…"

Derek's arm shot out, wrapping her waist, pulling her against him. She breathed heavily, being in close proximity with Derek still having the same effect, sizzling electric bolts shooting up and down her body.

"What are you doing here, Derek?" She breathed out, staring into Derek's baby blues.

"I'm here for you."

Derek gradually pulled Addison even closer, until they melted into each other's bodies, like the missing puzzle piece finally fitting in. His lips softly met hers, his tongue running along her bottom lip, slowly, softly. She opened her mouth, their tongues meeting in a long lost reunion, gently touching each other, intertwining, fireworks emitted into each of their bodies. They slowly broke apart, Derek's lips softly nibbling Addison's, before engulfing them in heat and passion, something different than the softness and longing before.

"Derek.." Addison breathed out, leaning her forehead against his own.

"Addi, I can't do this.. I can't LIVE without you. I tried, I really did, I fooled myself, I thought I had moved on, but something was missing, I couldn't fill this gaping hole you left, I could barely get out of bed in the morning, not seeing you broke my heart a little more, I know, Addi, no matter how much we fight, or screamed and shouted, we were always there for each other at the end of the day, you were always there, I didn't know how much I loved you.. until you were gone." Derek finished, gazing deep at Addison, her eyes bright with many more unshed tears.

"I guess what I'm trying to say is, Addi.. I love you. I always have loved you.. I always will love you, no matter what happens Add, I'll always be here, I've missed you so much, I couldn't wake.. I couldn't wake up in the mornings, and see that you weren't there to help me through.. I… I love you."

He brought his thumb up to wipe away the tears that silently dropped, tracing her cheekbone, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, smiling softly.

Addison clenched Derek's shirt, squeezing her eyes shut, before whispering;

"I've never stopped loving you, Derek."
