"You're leaving aren't you?" she catches him mid throw of a Gnome and her question startles him and he slips, the Gnome smashing it's head into the stone wall surrounding their yard. She giggles, but sobers almost immediately at the look on his face.
"No!"
"You're a terrible liar, you know," she says, picking up another Gnome as it waddles along, trying to go unnoticed.
"I'm not --"
"Oh save it, Ron, I'm not eight anymore, I know where babies come from, I think I can handle the truth now. You owe me at least that much."
Ron sighs, his shoulders drooping. He motions for her to follow him and they seat themselves upon the picnic table under the shade of the large tree in their yard.
"How'd you find out?"
"I might have heard you telling Pig that he's not to follow you after you leave," she said, refusing too look at him, and trying to adopt an air of nonchalance.
"It's rude to eavesdrop, you know. Hasn't Mum taught you anything?"
She smacked him upside the head. "Oi, what the bloody --?"
"She taught me that," Ginny said with a grin. Ron made a 'Haha' face at her whilst he rubbed his head tenderly. "You don't have to go, you know,"
"Of course I do," he said, looking at her as though she were crazy.
"Who says you do?"
"What? No one does, I just have too, he's my best make and I'm not about to desert him now, am I?"
"Look after both of them for me." She gets to her point suddenly, for she doesn't know how else to broach it without being completely blunt. "I can't lose any of you. Not one, do you understand? Think how I'd be if none of you came back. Promise me Ron, that you'll all come back."
"Ginny ā"
"Promise me,"
"I don't know what's going to happen; I can't promise you anything,"
"Okay, don't promise you'll come back, just promise that you'll look after them,"
"Iā"
"Don't argue Ron, Mum taught me that too,"
"We'll do all we can to get back to you Ginny, you know we will."
"You'd better. I love all of you so much," she sniffles and Ron puts his arm around her.
"I know you do, and the feelings are returned completely, you have to know that,"
"Even from Harry?" she asks, laughing shortly.
"Especially from Harry. Ginny, he's going mental without you around,"
"Oh he is not,"
"Is. Hermione said so,"
"And are you going mental without Hermione?"
"Reckon I might be a bit, yeah," he says, hanging his head and Ginny's surprised to hear him admit it. She'd expected a flat out refusal of his feelings toward their best friend.
She hugs him, wrapping her arms around him like she used to do when she was small. She doesn't say anything and neither does he, but it's understood that they know what the other is feeling and this small amount of sibling comfort makes the pain a little bit more bearable.

A/N: So...what did you think? I hope it was enjoyable, I certainly like writing Ron and Ginny sibling moments, considering I've no siblings of my own. Let me know how I did. Review are always appreciated.
