AN: Hey, guys, sorry if this sucks.

I wake up to the sound of pounding on my door.

Today I train initiates.

Today is the same day I left my abusive father 2 years ago.

I get up and stretch my back and here it crack. That bed is one of the most uncomfortable things ever.

I answer the door, to see Zeke.

"Dude, come on, you're gonna miss your initiates!" He tells me. I look to my watch and see its 5:15 A.M. I have 4 hours till I have to be at the net. I look back to the door ready to kick Zeke's ass for waking me up now, but Zeke is gone.

Great.

I shower and get dressed in a matter of 15 minutes.

I slip on my shoes and walk to the control room, but stopping by the dining hall and picking up a muffin. The muffins here are always the same. Banana and some Nut. They aren't bad but it gets boring after awhile.

I walk in the control room and sit at my desk. I look over some papers, on the gates and how they changed the codes today.

I repeat the code in my head several times to remember it. Once I remember it by heart and set the papers down and turn my main computer on. The bright screen opens and I click on the network that shows the cameras.

I see theres camera at the Ceremony. An abnegation girl walks up and hesitates. She cuts her hand and it jerks out and falls into the Dauntless coals. She… looks familiar… I look over to see Marcus hand the next person their knife and I shut the computer off.

I stand at the net beside Lauren. I hear catcalls and then the sound of a hysterical laugh has a person hits the net. I reach my hand out and a small, cold, boney, hand grabs mine tightly. A burning feeling runs through my hand, up my arm, and straight to my heart. It feels good though.
I pull the person up and they roll, I caught her before they landed face-first on the floor.

'She' is the same girl I saw on the cameras. He has pale skin, Blonde hair, and cornflower blue eyes. I grip her arm and I release her after she stands upright again.

"Thank you," She says.

"I can't believe it," Says Lauren from behind me. She smirks at 'Her'. "A Stiff, the first to jump? Unheard of."

"There's a reason why she left them, Lauren," I say. "What's your name?" I ask her curious to know.

"Um…" She hesitates.

"Think about it," I say with a faint smile on my lips. "You don't get to pick it agai."
"Tris." She says firmly.

Tris.

I like it.

"Tris," Lauren repeats. I can hear the grin in her voice. "Make the announcement Four."

I look over my shoulder and shout, "First jumper -Tris!"

The Dauntless crowd, shows from the darkness, and pump their fists and cheer, as another person falls in the net followed by a scream. Everyone laughs, but me.

When I touch Tris my body feels so..alive. So I set my hand on her back, she stiffens a little not used to being touched. My hand burns with the sunsation again, and I say,

"Welcome to Dauntless."
