Somehow closed eyes meet the gaze of obscured eyes. Both pairs slow to a halt. The underclassmen eye each other wearily, but the upperclassmen never let their ambiguous gazes waiver.
The past is the past.
An impatient hiss echoes beside the bespectacled youth. With a pale hand on the bandana boy's shoulder, he silences the underclassman.
I haven't moved on.
"Senpai…" The wavy haired second-year eyes the pair from Seigaku wearily. If they stand there staring any longer, they will be late.
Closed eyes do not leave opaque frames, yet the third-year addresses his companion. "Let's be on our way then.
I chose to move on.
Eyes break in the same instant. It was not a staring contest and both upperclassmen have teams to rejoin. Dropping his hand from the bandana boy's shoulder, the bespectacled boy turns to his right. The closed eyed youth lets his gaze wander, steering his teammate to their left.
