Crud. I forgot to put the disclaimer in the first time I posted this.
D/C: The characters of Lucky Star belong to Yoshimizu Kagami and the breakfast treat mentioned near the end of the fic belongs to General Mills.
"Miyuki-san!"
Takara Miyuki turned to see Konata approaching their lunch table. "Good afternoon, Izumi-san," she said politely.
Kagami scoffed. "Jeez, by the time I got here you were gone! Where were you?" she demanded.
"Um, Kona-chan kind of rushed out of the classroom right when the lunch bell rang," Tsukasa said.
Konata just gave them a little cat smile. "Hey, hey, Miyuki-san, you're really smart, right?"
Miyuki blushed. "Well, maybe…"
Tsukasa laughed. "Come on, Yuki-chan, you're the top of our class!"
"There's no need to be so humble, Miyuki-san," Kagami added.
"Anyways," Konata continued, "I want you to take a look at this." At that moment, the girls noticed that she was holding a rather large bag. Konata reached in, pulled out two pieces of paper, and set them in front of Miyuki.
"So, Miyuki-san, can you find the difference between these two pictures?" Konata said slyly.
Miyuki leaned over the papers and examined them. They each depicted a green, repitilian animal. They looked very similar, but Miyuki knew better than that.
"The one on the left is a crocodile and the one on the right is an alligator," Miyuki said.
"Oh ho!" Konata exclaimed. "Bravo, Miyuki-san!"
"Is this supposed to be some kind of anime reference?" Tsukasa asked nervously.
"Don't worry. It's not about anime this time," Konata assured. She then reached into her bag and pulled out a box of cereal, a plastic bowl, and a spoon. While pouring the cereal into the bowl, she said, "Miyuki-san can see the difference between an alligator and a crocodile, but can she see why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch?" She handed the bowl to Miyuki.
Miyuki carefully raised a spoonful of cereal to her mouth and ate it thoughtfully.
"Hm…I believe it is because they have swirls of cinnamon sugar in every bite."
"No! Because they have-" Konata paused. "Ah…you're right."
Miyuki and Tsukasa sweatdropped.
"Pay up, chiisai(1)," Kagami intoned.
"I AM NOT LITTLE!" Konata screeched, and then reluctantly handed over a bill of yen.
"Told you so."
Owari.
(1) I'm pretty sure most of you are intelligent enough to figure out the meaning of the word chiisai. After all, I put a direct context clue in the very next line. However, I'll just define to be safe: Chiisai small/little
Yes, a little crack fic for you LS fans. It's just a little thing I thought up while I was browsing through Naruto fan drawings and found the famous "Neji and Cinnamon Toast Crunch" parody. If you don't know, you can either ask me or Google it. By the way, I didn't beta this one (seeing as it's less than 500 words OTL), so I would appreciate it if you notified me of any grammatical errors.
Review please!
