Note: Aha~ My first fanfiction on here, how exciting~ Anyway, this takes place in an 'AU' (Alternate universe), because 1. I don't want to mess up the already screwed up Bioshock canon and 2. I couldn't find a way to insert my guy in the canon without him being a splicer. (Also, there are other small things I added that will come in later.)

With that said, onto the fanfic!

Jonathan never liked water.

When he was younger, he never liked going to the beach or into a pool. He only did it to make his brother happy.

….. Then again, that was the reason he was here. 'Here', of course, was in a bathosphere going to a 'underwater paradise' he had never seen. As he leaned on the small window/door, the only thing that seperated him and the sea, he wondered if this was such a good idea. He had packed some food, several packs of cigarettes, a lighter, and an extra tie. …. Yeah. Great idea.

Jon sighed and sat on the cold metal floor. He had the urge to reach into his small suitcase and light one of his cigarettes, but decided against it. Instead, he stood up and looked out the window again. Miles and miles and miles of blue, rocks and plants. "How fun," he grunted. Suddenly the scene changed. He saw… A city. An actual city. His eyes widened in amazement. Then.. He spotted something. Working on one of the tubes that connected one building to another. Jon squinted, trying to get a better look at it. It looked a bit like a person in a diver suit..

Before he could get a better look at it, the bathosphere was suddenly lifted up, up through a hole, where Jon guessed led into one of the buildings. It stopped, and he looked outside. It was… Oddly dark. He frowned, expecting a welcome party, or atleast some light. He then heard a small click, and static. Turning his head to the small radio next to the door, he heard a voice.

"Oi! Hello?! Is anyone in there?!" A man shouted on the other line, strange Irish accent confusing Jon. He slowly picked up the radio, and responded.

"Eh…. … I'm here."

"Thank Jesus, Joesph and Mary! Are you alright?"

"Yes sir. 'M fine."

"Oh, thank god… Son, what's your name?"

"Jon, sir."

"A-Alright, then, Jonny. Now, my name is Atlas, and-" The rest was cut short as Jonathan stuffed the radio into his pocket, opened the small door, and stepped into the dark unknown of Rapture.
