(Prologue: First time Summoning)
The four-year-old blond boy was excited. He was starting was the Ninja Academy! His first day was tomorrow.
"Minato," He heard his mother call.
"Yes Mother?" Minato called back.
"Come here, I have something for you," Namikaze Kaiko called to her son.
"Coming Mother," Minato called as he ran through the hallways of their large ancestral home in Konoha to get to his mother who was in the large living room. Minato skidded to a halt and walked to her side, noticing the huge scroll on the floor. "What is it Mother?" he asked.
"Minato it is time for you to sign the family summon scroll," Kaiko explained.
Minato's eyes lit up, "Really? I'll be able to summon Foxes now?"
"Yes dear," Kaiko answered, unrolling the large scroll on the floor.
"What do I have to do Mother?" Minato asked as he watched the scroll in fascination.
"You have to sign your name Sweetheart," his mother explained grabbing his wrist gently, stopping her child before he could grab one of his calligraphy brushes, "In blood."
Minato blinked; contemplating the information he had just been given. "Sign my name in blood Mother?" he finally asked for conformation.
"Yes," his Kunoichi Mother pulled out one of her kunai, "Most use a kunai to slit their thumbs and draw blood that way. I prefer biting mine, but you may do what you want."
Minato looked from his mother to the kunai in her hand to his thumb and back to his mother. She offered him her kunai but he backed away from it, shaking his head. Kaiko smiled, putting her kunai away. Minato turned to the first blank spot on the scroll and brought his thumb to his mouth. Minato didn't hesitate as he bit down on his thumb hard enough to draw blood and signed his name. "Now what Mother?" he asked.
"Now watch me and copy the sequence of hand signs that I'm going to show you that you need to go through to summon a fox." Kaiko explained, positioning her hand in the first hand sign.
"Yes Mother," Minato replied, his eyes were glued to his mother's hands as she ran through the hand signs several times, slowly so that Minato could see and follow them without a problem as his eyes weren't trained to see Ninja-swift movement yet. After the first run through, Minato began imitating his mother. "Like this?" He asked after he went through it three times.
"Yes Dear, perfect," Kaiko praised, "You can add Chakra now Minato."
Minato nodded, adding a moderate amount of Chakra as he ran through the hand signs for the fourth time, "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!"
Smoke billowed from under the boy's hand, revealing a small fox kit that sneezed as the last of the smoke dissipated.

That was slightly annoying… I had to rewrite this because I lost this piece to a virus that attacked my computer. It's very lucky that I printed out the prologue and first chapter… I hope you enjoyed the Prologue, my OCs are a lot more developed then when I started writing this so be prepared ok?
