Hey everyone. This is another story for the Return of the Chocolate Frog Cards on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This is for (Gold) Nundu and the task is to write about someone telling vicious lies. I choose to write about the Marauders and Lily because I can see Sirius' cousins trying to break Muggle-born Lily and Pure-blood James up by spreading vicious lies about Lily and any one of the other Marauders. So without further ado I hope you all enjoy The Lies We Tell.

I saw people watching us as walked down the hallways of Hogwarts. The whispers that followed us everywhere we went. The jealous looks that James Potter was shooting us every time walked by him.

"What's his problem, Lils?" I asked in a quiet whisper as James yet again glared at his girlfriend and I.

"I don't know, Sirius," she whisper back at me. "Maybe you should go ask him."

I raised my eyebrow as I saw one of my cousins walk over to James. I wandered what Narcissa would want with James. I looked over at Lily with my eyebrow still raised.

"That seems a little odd," I said intrigue in my voice. "What would my dear cousin Narcissa want with your boyfriend James?"

"I don't know. But I don't like the looks of it. Let's try to get closer and see what they're saying."

I nodded but as we went to get a closer listen Remus caught both of our arms and drug us back the way we had come from. I looked at him exasperatedly.

"Remus," I sighed, "Lily and I were going to go over there and see what has gotten into James Potter. He's been giving us the stink eye for about two weeks now."

"Yeah," Lily said.

"You don't want to know," was all Remus could mutter.

"But we do," I said grabbing Lily's hand and dragging her over so we close enough to hear what was being said by Narcissa and James. Part of me wished I had listened to Remus after we were able to hear them properly.

"I don't believe you, Narcissa," James was saying.

"What's not to believe?" Narcissa asked sliding her hand up James' thigh. "They're sitting over there out in the open together."

I watched as James snatched her hand and placed it back on her own lap. "And you aren't trying to break Lily and I up?" James asked. "Or start trouble between your cousin and myself?"

Narcissa feigned hurt. "Why would I do that?" she asked hurt in her voice.

"Because your part of the Black family."

"Would Sirius do something like that?"

"No but he's different than the rest of you. Which is why I don't think I can believe the poison you've been spreading about them."

"I saw him kiss her by the lake a few days ago."

My eyes widened in shock was she trying to tell James that Lily was cheating on him with me. I had kissed a girl by the lake a few days ago but that was my girlfriend. Marlene McKinnon. I stormed over to where the two of them were sitting.

"Don't believe her, James," I shouted. "It's not what you think it is."

James held up his hand as Lily made her way over to us.

"I don't believe, Sirius. I don't think that either you or Lily could be so cold and calculating as to do something like that," he told me. He turned to Narcissa with a sarcastic smile. "Now if you are quite done trying to ruin everyone's life can you please move on."

Narcissa huffed and stormed off. I knew this wasn't over and that would definitely not be the last of the lies being told about Me or my friends. We would wait and plan our revenge. You don't mess with the Marauders.

I hope you all enjoyed The Lies We Tell. I might make this a multi-chapter story later on to encompass the Marauders getting revenge on Narcissa and her friends.
