"See, Happy, that wasn't so bad!" Paige smiled as she and her friend were walking down the street on that chilly, late night in LA. Her voice wasn't hidden by the sound of her heels and the honking of vehicles maneuvering around the highways. "It was okay I guess," the engineer shrugged. "Still too many people."

The liaison dragged her to a karaoke bar after a long day of work. However, she was not able to get the younger woman to change out of her jackets-and-leather-boots get up. Paige was wearing beige stilettos with a peach-colored dress that was a few inches above the knee with one strap on her right shoulder. She laughed. They continued to walk in awkward silence and watched as a van drove by them.

"Toby's going to kill you when he smells cologne on you."

"Yeah, because you were trying to get them to buy us drinks like in every rom com," Happy muttered.

"But that's what LA is all about!"

Happy rolled her eyes.

As the women reach a turn, they see the van that they saw awhile back. It was still running, but it seemed like no one was inside it. "That's weird," Paige whispered, but kept walking. Happy cautiously looked behind them and stopped. "Paige-!"

A tall man wearing a button down shirt shoves a rag over Paige's nose and holds her tight. She screeches against the rag.

"Whoa, calm down dude..." Happy says and steps forward. "What do you want? Five bucks?"

He grins wildly. "I want a beauty," he strokes Paige's panicky face.

Happy bites her lip in thought. "Honestly," she takes another step, "if you want 'beauty', you don't want her." She gives Paige an apologetic look. "She had a friggin baby when she was younger. You definitely don't want to see those massive stretch marks."

Dineen widens her eyes in realization of what Happy is doing.

The man grins again. "Well, I sure can't leave here empty handed, can I?"

"Then I have a deal..." She takes a deep breath. "Take me, and let her go." (She was praying this would finally work, even though it never does in the movies).

"I accept your offer." He releases Paige. "Come here sweetheart," he pulls out a gun, "I don't want to use force."

Happy drops her bag to the sidewalk and puts up her hands. The man pours some liquid onto the rag and shoves it over her face with a psychotic grin. She drops to the ground instantly and is shoved in the van. "Hey mommy, I'll know if you call the cops," he says as he drives away.

Without a thought, Paige runs in the opposite direction, to the garage.

When she gets there, she slams open the loud door. "Walter! Toby!"

The two men bound down the stairs. "What?" asks Walter.

"Where's Happy?"

Paige doesn't give an answer, but just falls to the floor and cries.
