AN) This probably isn't my best work so please give it a couple chapters before passing judgement. This is my way of procrastination considering the vignette project mentioned here is the one I have to do.

I DO NOT OWN YOUNG JUSTICE! If I did Babb's would be there every episode!

House on Mountain Drive

The class had only been in session for a few minutes and Richard "Dick" Grayson was already looking at the clock pleadingly as if he could make it move faster by sheer force of will. It wasn't Mrs. Buckley's fault; in fact anyone would tell you that she's the most interesting freshman English teacher out. It just that when you spend every night fighting crime sitting through English 9 is impossible. He turned and caught Barbra Gordon's eye she nodded acknowledging that she felt the same way. She motioned to Mrs. B and he tuned back in.

"Remember class we will be writing vignette prompts nightly for this book." She held up a copy of The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros and the entire class groaned. "Come on this is fun, we're all about fun this is English class! It's fun!" She paused for a moment, "Ok, here's the deal most people don't like this book for some reason but some of the best writing I see from you guys is this project . . . so suck it up." Most of the class laughed and the rest looked unsure. "Any questions? No … Ok let's go to page three the first vignette is called "The House on Mango Street"."

The rest of the period dragged by slowly as Mrs. B went through every little detail of the vignette. They took up an entire page in their composition books with literary notes. He and Barbra managed to pass a few notes but for the most part he felt that the period would be better spent sleeping. Mrs. B later handed out prompts right before the bell was set to ring.

"Here's your prompt for tonight kids. Tape it in your comp books and have them ready for class tomorrow." The bell rang and everyone sprinted for the door.

Barbra caught Dick on his way out the door. "Grayson," she said falling into step with him.

"Gordon," he responded keeping a straight face.

"What do you think about this assignment, should be interesting, right?"

"Defiantly interesting," he responded smirking.

AN) Tell you if you want me to continue this. Life has been kicking my ass lately so updates will be random. I'll probably write them during english class. Just tell me if you like it or not.
