"They say she's murderous, deadly, vicious and unforgiving."
"Sounds scary." Henry says arrogantly.
"Quiet now, she could be anywhere…."
The men came to a stop and looked around, scouring the dark for any sign of movement.
The tranquillity was broken by an ear piercing scream. Henry was whipped into the sky as the men around him dropped to the ground.
"Told ya so." Murmed Jeremy quietly.
Then she landed, jumped straight down from the canopy of trees above. Lightning flashed giving the men a glimpse of her. Their only glimpse, for they would soon stop breathing.
"What brings you here boys?"
Slowly the men rose to their feet. Stunned as they stared intently at her.
"Speak up or be slaughtered where you stand."
This made the men look around at one another. Slowly he stepped forward.
"What is your name?" she asked
"J-Jeremy, miss."
"Pardon, I did not hear you, speak up."
"Jeremy." He said this time louder and with more confidence.
"Well now dear Jeremy, what is your business here?"
"Uh, actually we've been sent to capture you miss."
"Capture me? Whatever for?" She replied, on her face a look of pure astonishment nestled in.
He laughed, "I'm sure you know miss, we were sent by Lord Whitby."
She sighed sadly, "That's unfortunate, I quite liked you."
"Liked miss?"
"Yes liked."
And that's when it happened, that's when she pounced. I will never forget the sight I saw that night. Why she let me go I'll never know. Though I remain paranoid, lying in wait for her to attack. Surely a woman like that would only let me go if she had the intent to chase. Yet the years go by and I remain unscathed.
