Jane wants to name her and Maura's first son Batman. Maura said no.

'Holy crap, did you eat the table or something?' Jane exclaimed when Maura walked into their bedroom.

'Jane, must you make comments like that every time I walk in the room?' Maura spoke, half un-impressed, half amused by Jane's antics.

'Yes, yes I do. Now come lay beside me beautiful.' Jane was at a good place in her life. She was madly in love with Maura, her wife as of a year and something months ago, who was pregnant; 5 months to be exact.

When Maura was settled on her back next to Jane, she reached up a kissed Maura's temple.

'I love you.' Jane was smiling like a goof.

'I love you, too.' Maura was now also, smiling like an idiot.

'Now I think we should talk about something Maura.' Maura looked confused at Jane's serious tone.

'What? Is something wrong?' Her voice was overly laced with worry now.

'No, no. I just wanted to start talking about…. Baby names.' Jane offered a smile. Maura let out a long breath she didn't realize she was holding; she looked relieved.

'Oh I thought it was something negative. Did you have any names in mind, Jane?'

'Well, if it's a girl we could call it MJ - and that could either stand for Maura Junior or Mary-Jane, you know, from Spiderman? Or we could call her JJ - Jane Junior? AJ - Angela Junior. Or Kate. I like Kate.'

'We're not calling her Mary-Jane. Although MJ, JJ and AJ have nice rings to them. But Kate seems most sensible. I liked Kate too, when I was thinking of names. And Alexandria, or Isabella-

'NO! We can't call her Isabella.' Jane looked appalled.

'What? Why? It's a pretty name.' Maura looked confused as to why Jane hated the name so much.

'Because! She'll get the nickname Bella, and that's the Twilight chicks name. So, no.'

'That's fair enough then… What about boy's names? I like Max, or Vince.'

'I have the perfect boy's name.' Jane was getting giddy now, Maura was curious.

'Go on. Tell me this amazing name you have planned.' Maura was smiling at Jane's over enthusiasm.

'Batman.' Jane clapped her hands together. 'Awesome name, right?'

'Jane, we are not calling our child Batman.' She looked unimpressed.

'What? Why? Batman is AWESOME!'

'No, Jane. That's just stupid.' Maura looked at her with disapproving eyes, Jane was reduced to pouting like a little kid who didn't get the toy she wanted.

'But Maauuuuraaaaa! I wanna call him Batman!' Yep, definitely a kid longing for a toy.

'Jane, you can not call him Batman. That's just unethical.' Jane crossed her arms in front of her, still pouting.

'Fine, we'll call him Vince. But I'll refer to him as Batman when he is born.'

'If it's a 'he' that is.'

'Well, we'll find out tomorrow, won't we?'

'We sure will.' Jane's lips met Maura's for a quick kiss before they both settled under the sheets to go to sleep.

'Goodnight beautiful.'

'Goodnight, Jane.'

Jane rolled onto her side, whispering to herself 'Batman.'
